Gravity and Large Extra Dimensions
The idea that quantum gravity can be realized at the TeV scale is extremely
attractive to theorists and experimentalists alike. This proposal leads to
extra spacial dimensions large compared to the electroweak scale. Here we give
a very systematic view of the foundations of the theories with large extra
dimensions and their physical consequences.Comment: 26 pages, 3 diagram
A Big Data Analytical Framework for Intrusion Detection Based On Novel Elephant Herding Optimized Finite Dirichlet Mixture Models
For the purpose of identifying a wide variety of hostile activity in cyberspace, an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a crucial instrument. However, traditional IDSs have limitations in detecting zero-day attacks, which can lead to high false alarm rates. To address this issue, it is crucial to integrate the monitoring and analysis of network data with decision-making methods that can identify anomalous events accurately. By combining these approaches, organizations can develop more effective cybersecurity measures and better protect their networks from cyber threats. In this study, we proposed a novel called the Elephant Herding Optimized Finite Dirichlet Mixture Model (EHO-FDMM). This framework consists of three modules: capture and logging, pre-processing, and an innovative IDS method based on the EHO-FDMM. The NSL-KDD and UNSW-NB15 datasets are used to assess this framework's performance. The empirical findings show that selecting the optimum model that accurately fits the network data is aided by statistical analysis of the data. The EHO-FDMM-based intrusion detection method also offers a lower False Alarm Rate (FPR) and greater Detection Rate (DR) than the other three strong methods. The EHO-FDMM and exact interval of confidence bounds were used to create the suggested method's ability to detect even minute variations between legal and attack routes. These methods are based on correlations and proximity measurements, which are ineffective against contemporary assaults that imitate everyday actions
Do Alternative Therapies Have a Role in Autism?
Interventions considered to be branches of Complementary & Alternative Medicine (CAM) for autism are on the rise. Many new treatments have emerged & traditional beliefs of Ayurveda, Yoga, Behavioral therapy, Speech therapy and Homoeopathy have gained popularity and advocacy among parents. It is imperative that data supporting new treatments should be scrutinized for scientific study design, clinical safety, and scientific validity, before embarking on them as modes of therapy. Practitioners take care in explaining the rationale behind the various approaches that they practice, it is important to indicate possible limitations too during the initial clinical examination and interactive session. Clinicians must remember that parents may have different beliefs regarding the effectiveness of treatment since their information is derived more from the ‘hear-say’ route when they compare benefits/effects of CAM therapies on other children and often underestimate differential tolerance for treatment risks. It is thus significant that practitioners do not assume a "don't ask, don't tell" posture. The scientific validation and support for many interventions is incomplete and very different from the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics Policy Statement. In this article, we discuss the various modes of CAM and their utilities and limitations in relation to autism
Cloud Computing with Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Effective Disease Detection
With the current rapid advancement of cloud computing (CC) technology, which enabled the connectivity of many intelligent objects and detectors and created smooth data interchange between systems, there is now a strict need for platforms for data processing, the Internet of Things (IoT), and data management. The field of medicine in CC is receiving a lot of attention from the scientific world, as well as the private and governmental sectors. Thousands of individuals now have a digital system due to these apps where they may regularly obtain helpful medical advice for leading a healthy life. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the medical field has several advantages, including the ability to automate processes and analyze large patient databases to offer superior medicine more quickly and effectively. IoT-enabled smart health tools provide both internet solutions and a variety of features. CC infrastructure improves these healthcare solutions by enabling safe storage and accessibility. We suggest a novel Cloud computing and artificial intelligence (CC-AI) premised smart medical solution for surveillance and detecting major illnesses to provide superior solutions to the users. For disease detection, we suggested AI-based whale optimization (WO) and fuzzy neural network (FNN) (WO-FNN). Patients' IoT wearable sensor data is gathered for detection. The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and computation time are evaluated and compared with existing techniques
Edge Italian Domination in some wheel related graphs
A function f:E(G) →{0,1,2} is an edge Italian dominating function (EIDF) if it satisfies the rule that every edge with weight 0 is either adjacent to an edge with weight 2 or adjacent to at least two edges with weight 1 each. The weight of an EIDF is ∑_(e∈E(G))▒〖f(e)〗. The minimum ∑_(e∈E(G))▒〖f(e)〗is the edge Italian domination number (EIDN). The symbol (γ_I ) ́ (G) is used to denote the EIDN. In this paper, we obtain the EIDN of some wheel related graphs like gear graph, helm graph, flower graph, web graph etc
Plasmon Annihilation into Kaluza-Klein Graviton: New Astrophysical Constraints on Large Extra Dimensions
In large extra dimensional Kaluza-Klein (KK) scenario, where the usual
Standard Model (SM) matter is confined to a 3+1-dimensional hypersurface called
the 3-brane and gravity can propagate to the bulk (D=4+d, d being the number of
extra spatial dimensions), the light graviton KK modes can be produced inside
the supernova core due to the usual nucleon-nucleon bremstrahlung,
electron-positron and photon-photon annihilations. This photon inside the
supernova becomes plasmon due to the plasma effect. In this paper, we study the
energy-loss rate of SN 1987A due to the KK gravitons produced from the
plasmon-plasmon annihilation. We find that the SN 1987A cooling rate leads to
the conservative bound > 22.9 TeV and 1.38 TeV for the case of two and
three space-like extra dimensions.Comment: 13 pages, 1 ps figure, text is modified a little bit, conclusion
