The significance of ACTH for the process of formation of complex heparin compounds in the blood during immobilization stress
Adrenocorticotropin (ACTH) was administered to rats at different times following adrenalectomy. Adrenocorticotropin caused a significant increase in the formation of heparin complexes even in the absence of stress factor. When ACTH secretion is blocked, immobilization stress is not accompanied by an increase in the process of complex formation. The effect of ACTH on the formation of heparin complexes was mediated through its stimulation of the adrenal cortex
The role of ACTH and glucocorticoids in nonenzymatic fibrinolysis during immobilization stress in animals
The role of the altered hormonal status of an organism in the activation of the anticoagulative system during stress is investigated. The 30 minute immobilization stress was shown to raise significantly the nonenzymatic fibrinolytic activity of blood in rats. Combined with adrenocorticotropin (ACTH) the effect is still greater. Intravenous administration of 0.2 m1 0.01 percent solution of protamine sulphate prevented the nonenzymatic fibrinolysis induced by the stress. Administration of ACTH after protomine sulphate again raised the fibrinolysis. This suggests that ACTH stimulates the release of heparin
The effects of adrenalectomy and corticsteroid injection on the fibrinolytic activity of complex heparin compounds in the blood during immobilization
Total non-enzymatic fibrinolytic activity in the blood of rats increased three times in response to stress caused by 30 minute immobilization, and the activity of epinephrine-heparin complex increased nine times. In adrenalectomized animals, which showed a weak response to the same stress, intraperitoneal injection of hydrocortisone 30 minutes prior to immobilization normalized the response. Obtained results indicate that adrenalectomy leads to sharp reduction of heparin complexing with thromogenic proteins and epinephrine, while substitution therapy with hydrocortisone restores anticoagulation system function
Participation of the hypophyseal-adrenal cortex system in thrombin clearance during immobilization stress
Thrombin marked with I-131 resulted in a considerable increase of the thrombined clearance rate in healthy male rats during stress caused by an immobilization lasting 30 minutes, and in an increase of thrombin clearance occurred by a combination of immobilization and administration of adrenocorticotropin (ACTH). Contrary to ACTH, the thrombin clearance is not stimulated in healthy animals by hydrocortisone. The results of the examination are presented
On elliptic solutions of the quintic complex one-dimensional Ginzburg-Landau equation
The Conte-Musette method has been modified for the search of only elliptic
solutions to systems of differential equations. A key idea of this a priory
restriction is to simplify calculations by means of the use of a few Laurent
series solutions instead of one and the use of the residue theorem. The
application of our approach to the quintic complex one-dimensional
Ginzburg-Landau equation (CGLE5) allows to find elliptic solutions in the wave
form. We also find restrictions on coefficients, which are necessary conditions
for the existence of elliptic solutions for the CGLE5. Using the investigation
of the CGLE5 as an example, we demonstrate that to find elliptic solutions the
analysis of a system of differential equations is more preferable than the
analysis of the equivalent single differential equation.Comment: LaTeX, 21 page

The article presents the analysis of disastrous mud loss achieved during casing at Dulisminsk oil and gas condensate field (DOGCF) and comparative evaluation of geological structure of DOGCF and Naryksko-Ostashkinsk area of Kemerovo oblast, where the same problem was solved successfully. On the basis of the analysis, an engineering solution is proposed to prevent mud loss in the conditions of DOGCF
Cosmological particle production and the precision of the WKB approximation
Particle production by slow-changing gravitational fields is usually
described using quantum field theory in curved spacetime. Calculations require
a definition of the vacuum state, which can be given using the adiabatic (WKB)
approximation. I investigate the best attainable precision of the resulting
approximate definition of the particle number. The standard WKB ansatz yields a
divergent asymptotic series in the adiabatic parameter. I derive a novel
formula for the optimal number of terms in that series and demonstrate that the
error of the optimally truncated WKB series is exponentially small. This
precision is still insufficient to describe particle production from vacuum,
which is typically also exponentially small. An adequately precise
approximation can be found by improving the WKB ansatz through perturbation
theory. I show quantitatively that the fundamentally unavoidable imprecision in
the definition of particle number in a time-dependent background is equal to
the particle production expected to occur during that epoch. The results are
