    It is time to use the Ku-band in Indonesia

    Satellite Communications Systems are infrastructures that can be used for broadband multimedia applications. In the communication satellite field, the C-band (4-6 GHz) frequencies have been used since the beginning and are now saturated. The Ku-band (11-18 GHz) has been used also for communication satellite systems, because with this frequency a bigger bandwidth can be applied. The Ku-band has other advantages, such as avoidance of interference with terrestrial microwave systems that often use the C-band frequency. However, for Indonesia, the use of the Ku-band needs a thorough examination because frequencies above 10 GHz are vulnerable to rain, especially heavy rain that often occurs in Indonesia. This article examines the possibility of using the Ku-band for satellite communication systems in Indonesia

    Karya “a-KU” adalah sebuah karya musik programatik yang menceritakan perjalanan hidup seorang anak manusia, mulai dari terlahir didunia, balita, anak-anak, muda, hingga massa pencarian jati dirinya. Dari beberapa massa perjalanan hidup tersebut telah dirangkai kedalam karya musik berbentuk 3 bagian kompleks/besar.Judul “a-KU” memiliki makna yang mendalam, dimana huruf a (kecil) adalah nama depan dari anak dalam cerita tersebut. Dan -KU (balok) memiliki makna, Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Jadi karya “a-KU” adalah karya musik yang menceritakan perjalanan hidup seorang anak manusia yang tidak lepas dari tuntunan Tuhan. Dimana anak dalam cerita itu adalah komposer itu sendiri.Karya musik “a-KU” disajikan dalam format Orchestra dengan jumlah pemusik 31 orang. Karya musik ini memiliki 144 birama dengan durasi 7 menit 15 detik. Tangganada yang digunakan dalam karya musik ini ialah Natural lalu dimodulasi ke G pada bagian 2, lalu naik 1 nada ke A minor pada bagian yang sama, dan bagian terakhir C dimodulasi lagi ke D major. Sukat yang digunakan adalah 4/4, ¾, dan 6/8.Dalam penulisannya karya ini mengerucut pada tinjauan bentuk musik. Karya musik “a-KU” adalah sebuah karya musik dengan 3 bagian kompleks/ besar, yang apabila dijabarkan memiliki urutan sebagai berikut: Ak (Introduksi, A, A’, A1, A2), Bk (Bridge, B1, B1’, B2), Ck (C, C’, C1, C1’, C2, Coda).Kata Kunci : Perjalanan Hidup, Struktur Bentuk Musik

This system is the first operational mobile Ku-band satellite communications system that provides two-way messaging and position determination and reporting services to mobile users on a nationwide basis.     Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Binangun is one of the Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) in the field of water delivery services for Kulon Progo residents. PDAM Tirta Binangun also has a Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) production program. AMDK KU needs to identify the financial feasibility of a 240 mℓ cup product. The need for business analysis is to find out whether AMDK KU can generate profits in the future or vice versa. The analysis of business feasibility used the methods of Break Event Point (BEP), Net Present Value (NPV), and Net B/C Ratio. Besides, it is necessary to take alternative corrective actions at the company for 240 mℓ cup products. The company of AMDK KU has gotten the normal BEP for the first cup production of 240 mℓ is 70,654 cartons, and the income in 6 months and 15 days is Rp 1,130,470,076. The analysis result is the company of AMDK KU, with the cup production of 240 mℓ, can be said that it had a profit. If the income and the price are increased by 10 percent, 20 percent, and 30 percent, it still will have profit. According to the NPV analysis, the products of 240 mℓ cup of AMDK KU are feasible to be done, even for 10 days later. However, the analysis result of the Net B/C Ratio, the products of 240 mℓ cup of AMDK KU is profitable because the score is Rp 1.1332. Furthermore, the PP result found in 10 months 11 days is included as a quick return on investment. The alternative action to solve the unprofitable products is by developing the product using the new innovation, product branding, a new marketing strategy, and additional investment
