    Here, we report on the first sequence-confirmed case of infection with the new influenza A(H1N1) virus in Germany. Two direct contacts of the patient were laboratory-confirmed as cases and demonstrate a chain of direct human-to-human transmission

    Design and realization of a sputter deposition system for the \textit{in situ-} and \textit{in operando-}use in polarized neutron reflectometry experiments

    Full text link
    We report on the realization of a sputter deposition system for the in situ- and in operando-use in polarized neutron reflectometry experiments. Starting with the scientific requirements, which define the general design considerations, the external limitations and boundaries imposed by the available space at a neutron beamline and by the neutron and vacuum compatibility of the used materials, are assessed. The relevant aspects are then accounted for in the realization of our highly mobile deposition system, which was designed with a focus on a quick and simple installation and removability at the beamline. Apart from the general design, the in-vacuum components, the auxiliary equipment and the remote control via a computer, as well as relevant safety aspects are presented in detail.Comment: Submitted for publication in Nuclear Inst. and Methods in Physics Research, A. Electronic Correlations in Vanadium Revealed by Electron-Positron Annihilation Measurements

    Full text link
    The electronic structure of vanadium measured by Angular Correlation of electron-positron Annihilation Radiation (ACAR) is compared with the predictions of the combined Density Functional and Dynamical Mean-Field Theory (DMFT). Reconstructing the momentum density from five 2D projections we were able to determine the full Fermi surface and found excellent agreement with the DMFT calculations. In particular, we show that the local, dynamic self-energy corrections contribute to the anisotropy of the momentum density and need to be included to explain the experimental results

    The semi-presidential system of Cape Verde: the relationship between the executive and the legislative powers = O sistema semi-presidencialista caboverdiano: a relação entre os poderes executivo e legislativo

    e article analyses the relationship established between the executive and legislative powers in the Cape Verdean government system where researchers seek to understand it, taking into account their theoretical and constitutional setting practice. It should be noted the prominence of the debate and studies undertaken to understand how the scienti c academy seeks to eradicate this problem. Two issues are relevant in this debate: the rst reporting to the theoretical and constitutional con guration of Cape Verdean government system and the other to its policy and legislative practice. Keywords: Cape Verde. Semi-presidential System. Systems of Government. Legislative and Executive Powers.O artigo procura analisar a relação que se estabelece entre o poder executivo e legislativo no sistema de governo cabo-verdiano, onde Investigadores buscam compreendê-lo, tendo em conta a sua con guração prática, teórica e constitucional. Há que realçar a proeminência do debate e dos estudos realizados no sentido de compreender como é que a academia cientí ca procura debelar esta problemática. Duas questões são pertinentes neste debate: a primeira refere-se à con guração teórico-constitucional do sistema de governo cabo-verdiano e a outra à prática política e legislativa. Spin-resolved fermi surface of the localized ferromagnetic Heusler compound Cu2MnAl measured with spin-polarized positron annihilation

    Get PDF
    We determined the bulk electronic structure in the prototypical Heusler compound Cu2_2MnAl by measuring the Angular Correlation of Annihilation Radiation (2D-ACAR) using spin-polarized positrons. To this end, a new algorithm for reconstructing 3D densities from projections is introduced that allows us to corroborate the excellent agreement between our electronic structure calculations and the experimental data. The contribution of each individual Fermi surface sheet to the magnetization was identified, and summed to a total spin magnetic moment of 3.6 ± 0.5 μB/f.u.3.6\,\pm\,0.5\,\mu_B/\mathrm{f.u.}

    Texturgenerierung aus Punktrastern für 3D-Gebäudemodelle

    No full text
    Die vorliegende Bachelorarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Texturgenerierung eines 3D-Stadtmodelles. Dabei soll das Modell mit einem Punktraster angereichert werden, welches Informationen einer im Vorfeld durchgeführten Sonneneinstrahlungsanalyse enthält. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Erstellung eines Workflows, der aus dem bestehenden Punktraster durch Interpolationen Rasterbilder mit einer höheren Auflösung erzeugt. Das Stadtmodell wird um diese erzeugten Raster, in Form von Texturen, angereichert, wodurch der volle Informationsgehalt der Simulation erhalten bleibt. Das gegebene Punktraster hat eine räumliche Auflösung von ein bis zwei Meter. Durch die Reduktion der Flächeninformationen auf einzelne Punkte, kommt es zu einem Informationsverlust auf der Gebäudeoberfläche, welcher durch die Erzeugung von Texturen verhindert werden kann. Für die Erzeugung dieses Workflows werden im Rahmen dieser Arbeit ausgewählte Interpolationsmethoden in Hinblick auf ihre Funktionsweise und ihre Ergebnisse miteinander verglichen. Zur Erzeugung des Rasterbildes wird schließlich jene Interpolationsart verwendet, die sich durch die Gegenüberstellung als geeignet erwiesen hat. Des Weiteren ist zu klären, ob die Interpolation in mehreren Teilschritten durchgeführt werden soll, um Aliasingeffekte zu verhindern. Abschließend soll zudem erörtert werden, wie sich die interpolierten Rasterbilder auf die Gebäudeflächen in dem 3D-Stadtmodell aggregieren lassen
