    Study of electron beam energy conversion at gyrocon–linear accelerator facility

    A gyrocon together with the high-voltage 1.5 MeV accelerator ELIT-3A represents a power generator at 430 MHz serving for linear electron accelerator pulse driving. The facility description and results of calorimetric measurements of ELIT-3A electron beam power and accelerated beam at the end of accelerator are presented in the paper. The achieved energy conversion efficiency is about 55%.Гирокон разом з високовольтним 1.5 МеВ прискорювачем ЕЛІТ-3А являє собою генератор потужності на частоті 430 МГц і служить для збудження лінійного прискорювача електронів в імпульсному режимі. Приведено опис установки і результати калориметричних вимірів потужності електронного пучка ЕЛІТ-3А і прискореного пучку на виході лінійного прискорювача. Отриманий КПД перетворення 55%.Гирокон совместно с высоковольтным 1.5 МэВ ускорителем ЭЛИТ-3А представляет собой генератор мощности на частоте 430 МГц и служит для возбуждения линейного ускорителя электронов в импульсном режиме. Приведено описание установки и результаты калориметрических измерений мощности электронного пучка ЭЛИТ-3А и ускоренного пучка на выходе линейного ускорителя. Получен КПД преобразования 55%

    7 GHz pulsed magnicon amplifier

    The work on creation of high-power microwave amplifiers with circular deflection of an electron beam has been carried out at INP since 1967. In the latest set of experiments on 7 GHz magnicon almost all design parameters have been achieved: the output power of 55 MW, efficiency of 56 %, and gain of 72 dB. Experimental data are in an excellent agreement with simulation results obtained by the special magnicon computer codes. Achieved results allow us to consider a magnicon as an alternative power source for linear colliders applications

    Background. With the introduction of the updated regulatory legal documents regulating the procedures for the implementation of supervisory activities and preventive work, inquiries on fire cases, licensing and the provision of services in the field of fire safety, it became necessary to adjust the methods for assessing the activities of state fire supervision authorities. In this regard, one of the goals of improving the forms and methods of work of supervisory authorities in the field of fire safety is to develop a system of indicators, criteria and models for evaluating their activities from the standpoint of applying the mechanisms to the functioning of organizational structures. Materials and methods. To develop a model for evaluating the activities of the state fire supervision authorities, the statistical data generated in the information systems of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the implementation of supervisory activities and preventive work, inquiry into fire cases, licensing and provision of services in the field of fire safety were studied. Based on the application of the Harrington function, calculated dependencies were developed for quantitative assessments of activities, both in its individual areas and in their totality. Results. Using the mechanisms of functioning of organizational structures, in relation to the activities of state fire supervision bodies, method for assessing the activities of an organization has been developed, including a system of indicators, criteria and mathematical dependencies. The method has been implemented in the EMERCOM of Russia. Conclusions. The proposed method makes it possible to carry out quantitative assessments of the activities of organizations and determine their comparative ratings

    From the Southern Coast collection of Prunus cerasifera Ehrh. the fruits cultivars of the Nikitsky Gardens’ breeding Medovaya, Olenka, Rumyanaya Zorka and Idilliya were distinguished by their high taste qualities and the content of BAS. According to the norms of the Russian Federation, the fruits of these cultivars belong to the group of products with a high content of potassium and cuprum; satisfactory content of magnesium and ferrum, pastilles and jams from them belong to the group of products with a satisfactory content of potassium and cuprum. Cherry plum fruits, especially dark-colored ones, are a natural complex source of antioxidants, characterized by a high content of phenolic compounds and cuprum, and a satisfactory content of ascorbic acid and zinc. The content of pectin substances in the studied cultivars is comparable to that in apples. The fruits of the Idyllia cultivar with dark-colored pulp are distinguished by the maximum accumulation of pectins - 1.14%, ascorbic acid - 9.3, phenolic compounds – 441 mg/100 g, potassium – 11239, magnesium - 464, ferrum -10.81, zinc - 10.23, cuprum - 4.17, manganese - 0.228 mg/kg. Cherry plum fruits are characterized by a high content of BAS and are suitable for use in health nutrition both in fresh form and as raw materials for Food for Specific Health Use

    Measurement of the hadronic cross sections at Novosibirsk

    Two experiments, CMD-3 and SND, collected over 100 pb−1 in total taking data in 2011-2013 at the VEPP-2000 electron-positron collider. The data sample covers the whole available c.m. energy range from 0.32 GeV to 2.0 GeV. An upgrade of VEPP-2000 started in the second half of 2013, aimed at the luminosity increase up to 10 times at 2.0 GeV. Data taking is expected to resumed in 2015. The current results of analysis of the collected data for various modes of e+ e− → hadrons are discussed

    Precise measurements of the hadronic cross sections with the CMD-3 and SND detectors at the VEPP-2000 e+ e− collider

    It’s good known the difference in 3.5 sigma between the muon (g – 2) experimental result and its calculation in Standard Model. To clarify this intriguing discrepancy the new stage of muon (g – 2) measurement is under preparation at Fermi National Laboratory. On other hand, regular data taking for measurements of hadron cross section production in e+ e− annihilations is under way since December 2010 at the electron-positron collider VEPP-2000 with the CMD-3 and SND detectors. The collected data sample corresponds to about 60 inverse picobarns of integrated luminosity per detector in the energy range from 0.32 up to 2 GeV.
