    No full text
The research urgency is caused by necessity to find adequate solutions to the university students’ socio-cultural immune system formation to the challenges of modern anti-social and extremist behavior and activities norms. In this regard, priority attention in the article is devoted to establishing of the theoretical and methodological approaches to the development of mechanisms to manage social and cultural immunity of the students as a practical outcome of the educational process of the University. A leading research method is a method of pedagogical monitoring, which allowed in the course of continuous and ongoing monitoring of the process of students’ social and cultural immunity formation to justify the educational mechanisms of this process management. The article reveals the content of the concept “social and cultural immunity of University students”; based on the results of the study a complex of educational governance mechanisms of social and cultural immunity of the students has been revealed (basic knowledge and practical skills in educational activities; social and cultural ideals, as a condition of identification of the “I”; critical thinking); productivity of the identified complex has been proven using the motivational, cognitive, axiological and activities criteria of socio-cultural immunity development. Suggested in the article the results of the study may be useful for practical activities of teachers, educators and curators of universities. © 2016 Kosarenko et al

Robotic coding from coding training improves high-level cognitive skills. The research aims to determine the opinions of the senior students who took up the coding course in the information technologies teaching department about the robotic coding course. In this context, 41 senior year students studying in Cyprus and Russian Universities were interviewed. The qualitative research method was applied. Semi-structured interview forms were created by taking experts’ opinions. Findings were analysed by the content analysis method. The answers obtained were determined; general views, perceived usefulness, gains, reinforcement outside of school and professional contributions were analysed. According to the results, pre-service teachers of the information technology departments should be oriented towards the preparation of robotics and courses in schools. They stated that there is a high demand from all school education levels for training in robotic courses. © 2021. International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning. All Rights Reserved

Energy consumption forecasting for power supply companies

    No full text
The paper investigates an issue of the accuracy of energy consumption forecasts for power supply companies, which are an intermediary between the wholesale energy market and the end user. Therefore, the purchased amount of energy should be equal to the predicted one with the least error. In case of any deviations, there is a problem of unsold amounts of energy or its shortage, which leads to financial losses, as the companies have to purchase or sell excessively the purchased energy at the price that is unprofitable for them in the wholesale market. Planning and monitoring the process of energy distribution are essential to achieving accurate energy consumption forecasting, which is an important component of all measures to optimize energy costs. The application of the statistical methods underlying the mathematical forecast models, which describe the process under study, will allow reducing the time for making managerial decisions and increasing the accuracy of energy consumption forecasts, thereby affecting the cost reduction in the power supply company. © 2018, Econjournals. The general purpose of this research is to determine the readiness of university students studying in the computer engineering programme on the Zoom application. The quantitative research method was used in the study. The research was carried out in the fall semester of 2020-2021. The working group consists of university students studying in the computer engineering programme of various universities in Kosovo and Russian Federation. 420 university students participated in the research. For the research, university students were given 5 weeks of online training. A measurement tool called ‘distance education applications’ developed by the researchers was applied to the university students. The data were shared with university students on the Internet with an online questionnaire and their participation was ensured and collected. The collected data were analysed using the SPSS programme. It was concluded that the readiness status of the university students showed positive results, and the live lesson status of the female university students was higher than the male students. In addition, it was concluded that they got used to the system they used in the common lessons before, and that the training on this system affected them positively. © 2022 Kassel University Press GmbH. © 2020. iJET. All Rights Reserved. The use of technology in education has increased rapidly in recent years, and one of these is coding training. Rapid changes have been observed in coding education in recent years. Many countries have added coding-related lessons to their curricula. There are studies about coding education that realise the learning of individuals at a very young age. This rapid change raises many questions for researchers. In this rapidly developing age, the views of prospective teacher candidates on coding are very important. With this study, it is aimed to discover the thoughts of prospective teachers of the Computer and Instructional Technologies Education department on coding education. For this purpose, qualitative data were obtained from 25 pre-service Computer and Instructional Technologies Education teacher candidates with case study method in Northern Cypriot, Russian and Kazakhstani universities. Selections were made based on volunteering among the pre-service teachers who took coding lessons. In this study, the data were collected with the semi-structured interview technique, which was developed considering the purpose of the research. Qualitative content analysis was used in the analysis of the data obtained. The results obtained in the research process revealed that the needs of pre-service teachers regarding the coding education were lacking and the number of coding courses should be increased

The dialogue between religious educational tradition and scientific pedagogy of morality: Cognitive schemas in the logic of similarities and differences [Dialog med religioznim vzgojnim izroèilom in znanstveno pedagogiko morale: Kognitivni vzorci v okviru logike podobnosti in razlik]

The purpose of this article is to search for correlations that would be meaningfully verified and logically justified, such as pedagogical description of an individual's social behavior, which would be focused on a priori personal recognition of the religious form as the standard of building individual moral intentions and their social embodiment, and social behavior, emphasizing the conscious derivation of moral principles from non-religious human values and secular ethics. The authors substantiate the essential difference between religious and traditional scientific interpretation of the basic principles of moral behavior related to the degree and methods of individual's comprehension of the moral 'proto-form'. It is substantiated that the religious form of moral behavior is characterized by a significant degree of inclusion of apriorism, which frees the individual from the need to independently seek the basic moral principles, confining him/herself to a priori faith in 'religious maxims'. It is shown that the traditional scholarly intentional-and-semantic representation of morality presupposes 1) the 'withdrawal' of moral positions from religious content by means of empirical, conceptual-and-theoretical and contextual 'tools' and the resulting 2) independent construction by the individual of a moral improvement roadmap, which would enable non-religious multi-aspect reflection. This conclusion is supplemented by the identification of the correlation of religious and scholarly pedagogical interpretation of the concept of 'tolerance'. © 2020 Korzhuev et al

    No full text
The information society reveals the social impact of the dissemination of information technologies. The purpose of this article is to study the negative social, psychological, and pedagogical implications of the Internet on young people. The authors analyzed the internet addiction problem among students (14-19 years) from the standpoint of the social health of the individuals and society as a whole. In a pilot study, which involved more than 600 adolescent participants aged 14-19 years (secondary school, college and university students), the authors have defined internet addiction as a complex phenomenon. The prerequisites of its development identify and highlights its formation in stages among students (mild fascination, passion, addiction, attachment). At the ascertaining stage of the experiment, a screening study was carried out to examine the state of internet addiction in young students in social networks. The results showed the necessity to design and implement internet addiction prevention programs for young students, which include three main blocks (motivational and cognitive, practice-oriented, reflexive), and a systematic plan for its implementation in the educational space framework. The stages of the experiment provided evidence of the authors' proposed effectiveness of methodologies for young people aged 14-19 years. This article may be useful to pedagogues, psychologists, and parents of students, social workers, and researchers working in the field of addiction prevention among young people. © Authors
