Online Training Tools Evaluation: “Internet Technologies in Economics” Teaching Case
This work discusses the problem of Information and communication technologies (ICT) and E-learning means evaluation and their influence on students’ achievements. For that purpose, the actions of 98 students, who learned the discipline “Internet Technologies in Economics” were documented in log files and analyzed. Evaluations highlighted some of the key issues that are emerging as a result of ITC implementation: ICT are so widely spread in all the sides of life that it is impossibly to dissociate ITC impact and computer literacy of a student; In the frame of Public Access to Information and Communication Technologies, Computer literacy of a student neutralizes educational benefits of E-learning and Information and communication technologies means; Public Computer literacy causes unimportance of a way of learning information receiving
Teaching Business Internet Technology for Economics Students
In less than two decades, the Internet became vital necessity for business providing. It causes emerging the new disciplines on information technology, media and communications. The emerging disciplines on information technology, media and communications are among the most dynamic and exciting in recent years. Classroom methods of delivery would need to change to accommodate changes in learning. This work discusses the approaches for “Internet Technology in Economics” course teaching. They are: E-learning tools, web communication means, online testing, team works, case studies
Variable structure robot control systems: The RAPP approach
International audienceThis paper presents a method of designing variable structure control systems for robots. As the on-board robot computational resources are limited, but in some cases the demands imposed on the robot by the user are virtually limitless, the solution is to produce a variable structure system. The task dependent part has to be exchanged, however the task governs the activities of the robot. Thus not only exchange of some task-dependent modules is required, but also supervisory responsibilities have to be switched. Such control systems are necessary in the case of robot companions, where the owner of the robot may demand from it to provide many services.
Acquisition of RGB-D images: sensors
The paper constitutes the second part of the article devoted to RGB-D sensors. In the first part the attention was focused on the methods of acquisition, whereas in the following, second part we present an overview of currently available commercial sensors
Programming frameworks for development of robot controllers
The constantly increasing diversity of types of robot and sensors opens new fields of applications. This affects the demand for tools facilitating their programming. This article focuses on the programming tools for development of high-level robotic controllers. It briefly discusses the evolution of methods of robot programming, starting from specialized languages, specialized libraries of functions for general purpose programming languages, ending up on robot programming frameworks.
In particular, it presents a number of popular programming frameworks, enabling the creation of complex robot controllers
