Choice of material for molding porous ceramic diaphragms

Basic requirements are formulated for starting materials for manufacturing porous ceramic diaphragms, and alumina-containing raw materials of domestic and overseas production are studied. Porous ceramic is manufactured with 35% open porosity and ultimate strength in compression of 72 MPa. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York

THERMAL NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF POROUS COMPOSITE MATERIALS

Cylindrical porous diaphragms made of a composite based on zirconium and aluminum oxides were studied by the method of thermal control. The use of the active two-way control technique allowed detecting manufacturing defects such as fistulas and cracks, as well as other surface inhomogeneities

Thermal Non-Destructive Testing of Zirconium Composite Coatings
