Meteor trail drift research based on baseline observations

    Get PDF
We analyze the results of a rare long-lived quasisymmetric ellipsoidal-annular meteor trail recorded on November 18, 2017 by two optical all-sky cameras, spaced at a distance of 150 km. The analysis is based on astrometric processing results with the use of baseline measurement methods. We determine spatial-kinematic characteristics of the meteor trail, and find features of its evolution. The ignition and extinction heights of the meteor were in the range 75–120 km. The estimate of the meteor brightness gives the absolute magnitude value of about –7.3m. It is shown that the distribution of all parts of the long-lived meteor trail occurs in the same plane at a height of ~90 km at a speed of ~320 m/s and, apparently, cannot be a consequence of an air mass movement. The total time of the meteor trail observation was more than 30 min. We offer possible explanations for the results obtained in the context of upper atmosphere processes

Collective emotions of the university staff in the context of digital learning

The paper examines the issues of solidarity among the university staff caused by the collective emotions associated with distance learning. It is proved that the collective emotions bring together and unite the university community. They become a lever of social development, a criterion and condition for collective dynamics as well as an indicator of social state of health of the university employees. The university staff tends to think that their colleagues are experiencing the same emotional states as themselves. Specific conclusions about emotion stability, positive and negative emotional states that affect social identity and collective perceptions of university employees who form social strategies of behavior are described by authors based on results of the empirical qualitative and quantitative analysis. On the basis of sociological research in the article proposes some principles of collective emotions in the digital learning conditions. The collective emotions largely determine the scenarios for the development of events in the framework of the daily interaction of the university stuff. Therefore, it shows how the introductions of digital learning led to the formation unite the university community

Effective large-scale model of boson gas from microscopic theory

    No full text
An effective large-scale model of interacting boson gas at low temperatures is constructed from first principles. The starting point is the generating function of time-dependent Green functions at finite temperature. The perturbation expansion is worked out for the generic case of finite time interval and grand-canonical density operator with the use of the S-matrix functional for the generating function. Apparent infrared divergences of the perturbation expansion are pointed out. Regularization via attenuation of propagators is proposed and the relation to physical dissipation is studied. Problems of functional-integral representation of Green functions are analyzed. The proposed large-scale model is explicitly renormalized at the leading order

Renormalization group calculation of dynamic exponent in the models e and F with hydrodynamic fluctuations

    No full text
The renormalization group method is applied in order to analyze models E and F of critical dynamics in the presence of velocity fluctuations generated by the stochastic Navier-Stokes equation. Results are given to the one-loop approximation for the anomalous dimension γλ and fixed-points' structure. The dynamic exponent z is calculated in the turbulent regime and stability of the fixed points for the standard model E is discussed

EFFICACY AND SAFETY OF PROLONGED TREATMENT WITH CYCLOSPORINE IN CHILDREN WITH FOCAL SEGMENTAL GLOMERULOSCLEROSIS

The article analyzes results of successful prolonged treatment of children with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). Treatment with cyclosporine (median dose 4–5 mg/kg of body weight) combined with prednisolone (1–1.5 mg/kg/48 hours) was performed in 34 patients 1.5–16 years old with FSGS. Pulse-treatment with methylprednisolone (30 mg/kg every other day, 3–6 injections) was performed in 21 patients for the purpose of remission induction. In 6 month of treatment with cyclosporine, total clinical and laboratory remission of corticosteroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome (CRNS) was detected in 12 (35%) patients, partial one — in 9 (26%) patients, remaining CRNS — in 13 (38%) of children. In 12 months of treatment total remission of CRNS was detected in 18 (53%) children, partial one — in 7 (21%) children, unefficient treatment — in 7 (21%) patients. Dose of prednisolone was decreased to minimal supporting level in 68% of children, and in 32% of patients corticosteroids were canceled. Thus, treatment with cyclosporine was effective in most children with SRNS and FSGS. Prolonged administration of cyclosporine up to 2 years and longer can be performed if regular control of kidney function is provided and symptoms of nephrotoxic action of this drug is absent (according to results of repeated biopsy).Key words: children, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, cyclosporine, methylprednisolone.(Voprosy sovremennoi pediatrii — Current Pediatrics. – 2010;9(4):155-159

CYSTATIN S AS A MARKER OF CYCLOSPORINE A RENAL TOXICITY IN CHILDREN WITH NEPHROTIC SYNDROME

The use of cystatin С as a probable marker of renal toxicity of cyclosporine A in children with nephritic syndrome, treated with this medication for a long time, is the subject of an interest. The present study included 29 children treated with cyclosporine A, divided into 3 groups depending on the duration of treatment (< 1 year, 1–2 years and > 2 years). The increase of cystatin С level in these groups compared with cystatin С level in control group (10 children without diseases of kidney) was marked. The highest level of cystatin С was detected in children treated with therapeutic doses of cyclosporine A (3–5 mg/kg daily) over 1 year. Authors showed positive correlation between cystatin С level in serum and medication’s dose.Key words: children, nephritic syndrome, cystatin С, cyclosporine A.(Voprosy sovremennoi pediatrii — Current Pediatrics. 2010;9(1):131-135
