Classification of Arbitrary Multipartite Entangled States under Local Unitary Equivalence
We propose a practical method for finding the canonical forms of arbitrary
dimensional multipartite entangled states, either pure or mixed. By extending
the technique developed in one of our recent works, the canonical forms for the
mixed -partite entangled states are constructed where they have inherited
local unitary symmetries from their corresponding pure state
counterparts. A systematic scheme to express the local symmetries of the
canonical form is also presented, which provides a feasible way of verifying

Medical Institutional Repositories in a Changing Scholarly Communication Landscape
An institutional repository (IR) is an online digital archive that organizes, preserves, and provides access to the educational, scholarly, and research output of an institution. Medical libraries began establishing IRs more than a decade ago and these repositories have become an important component of scholarly communication outreach. In an article in the 2014 Against the Grain health and biomedical sciences special issue, Palmer described institutional repository services provided by health sciences libraries, and the barriers and challenges to providing those services. A limit result for a system of particles in random environment
We consider an infinite system of particles in one dimension, each particle
performs independant Sinai's random walk in random environment. Considering an
instant , large enough, we prove a result in probability showing that the
particles are trapped in the neighborhood of well defined points of the lattice
depending on the random environment the time and the starting point of the

A geometric view of cryptographic equation solving
This paper considers the geometric properties of the Relinearisation algorithm and of the XL algorithm used in cryptology for equation solving. We give a formal description of each algorithm in terms of projective geometry, making particular use of the Veronese variety. We establish the fundamental geometrical connection between the two algorithms and show how both algorithms can be viewed as being equivalent to the problem of finding a matrix of low rank in the linear span of a collection of matrices, a problem sometimes known as the MinRank problem. Furthermore, we generalise the XL algorithm to a geometrically invariant algorithm, which we term the GeometricXL algorithm. The GeometricXL algorithm is a technique which can solve certain equation systems that are not easily soluble by the XL algorithm or by Groebner basis methods
Scaling limits of a tagged particle in the exclusion process with variable diffusion coefficient
We prove a law of large numbers and a central limit theorem for a tagged
particle in a symmetric simple exclusion process in the one-dimensional lattice
with variable diffusion coefficient. The scaling limits are obtained from a
similar result for the current through -1/2 for a zero-range process with bond
disorder. For the CLT, we prove convergence to a fractional Brownian motion of
Hurst exponent 1/4.Comment: 9 page

Searching the athletic training literature can be confusing and overwhelming with many possible databases for locating relevant peer-reviewed scholarship. Finding evidence-based literature from respected publications is helpful in clinical decision-making for athletic training practitioners. This column details recommended databases and search tips to help students, staff, clinicians, and faculty in the field of athletic training find the literature they need to help make evidence-based decisions and to stay current with the published literature. Databases discussed include Cochrane, PubMed, SPORTDiscus, CINAHL, PEDro, Sports Medicine, and Education Index (formerly Physical Education Index), and Google Scholar
Comparing and Contrasting Medical Institutional Repositories with Other Academic IRs: Results of Two Research Studies
This poster presents findings from two research studies about institutional repositories (IRs): one survey to members of the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries, and the other an open survey with primary responses from academic libraries in North America. The poster compares and contrasts several findings, including: Are academic medical institutional repositories utilizing different software platforms than other academic IRs? Are academic medical IRs staffed differently than other academic IRs? In this complex scholarly communication environment, are IR managers considering plans to migrate to new platforms? This poster explores findings from the two surveys to help capture a current snapshot of the repository landscape. This will be a “poster conversation” where we will engage attendees about the repositories at their own institutions and give them an opportunity for meaningful discussion.
