On Electrical Equivalence of Aperture-Body and Transmission-Cavity Resonance Phenomena in Subwavelength Conducting Aperture Systems from an Equivalent Circuit Point of View
For a narrow slit structure backed by a conducting strip which is taken as a
representative example of an aperture-body resonance (ABR) problem, the
transmission resonance condition (i.e., condition for maximum power
transmission) and the transmission width (i.e., normalized maximum transmitted
power through the slit) are found to be the same as those for narrow slit
coupling problem in a thick conducting screen, which is designated as a
transmission-cavity resonance (TCR) problem. From a viewpoint of equivalent
circuit representation for the transmission resonance condition and the
funneling mechanism, the ABR and the TCR problems are thought to be essentially

Separation of primary solid phases from Al-Si alloy melts
The iron-rich solids formed during solidification of Al-Si alloys which are known to be detrimental to the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of the alloys should be removed. On the other hand, Al-Si hypereutectic alloys are used to extract the pure primary silicon which is suitable for photovoltaic cells in the solvent refining process. One of the important issues in iron removal and in solvent refining is the effective separation of the crystallized solids from the Al-Si alloy melts. This paper describes the separation methods of the primary solids from Al-Si alloy melts such as sedimentation, draining, filtration, electromagnetic separation and centrifugal separation, focused on the iron removal and on the separation of silicon in the solvent refining process
Non-thermal WIMP baryogenesis
We propose a WIMP baryogensis achieved by the annihilation of non-thermally
produced WIMPs from decay of heavy particles, which can result in low reheating
temerature. Dark matter (DM) can be produced non-thermally during a reheating
period created by the decay of long-lived heavy particle, and subsequently
re-annihilate to lighter particles even after the thermal freeze-out. The
re-annihilation of DM provides the observed baryon asymmetry as well as the
correct relic density of DM. We investigate how wahout effects can affect the
generation of the baryon asymmetry and study a model suppressing them. In this
scenario, we find that DM can be heavy enough and its annihilation cross
section can also be larger than that adopted in the usual thermal WIMP

Unintended complication of intracranial subdural hematoma after percutaneous epidural neuroplasty.
Percutaneous epidural neuroplasty (PEN) is a known interventional technique for the management of spinal pain. As with any procedures, PEN is associated with complications ranging from mild to more serious ones. We present a case of intracranial subdural hematoma after PEN requiring surgical evacuation. We review the relevant literature and discuss possible complications of PEN and patholophysiology of intracranial subdural hematoma after PEN
