A 37-year-old female patient with four months history of paroxysmal pain in the left index finger was referred to our department for 99mTC-MDP scintigraphy. Radiographic studies of the patient showed a lytic tumour in the distal phalanx of the left second finger compatible with a glomus tumour. The scan showed mild decreased activity in the blood pool phase and minimal increased activity on the delayed images. The patient underwent surgery and a glomus tumour was removed. To the extent of our knowledge, this is the first case of bone scan in a glomus tumour of the finger reported in the literature

Background and Aim: Management of patients with outpatient diseases is the most important part of general practitioners working environment in future. The present study aimed at evaluating medicalinterns and graduates’ self-assessment regarding their attitude about children outpatients in pediatric ward. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional and descriptive study 40 medical interns. and 20 medical graduates were selected as samples in 2013 and their attitude about quality and effectiveness of pediatric ward education was evaluated through their self-assessment by means of a researcher-designed questionnaire based on Likert scale. Mean attitude points of the subjects in three domains of diagnosis, treatment, and prescription of drugs regarding four groups of diseases including microbial diseases, parasitic diseases, neonatal diseases, and malnutrition were accounted. Finally, the obtained data was fed into SPSS (V :11.5) software and and was analyzed using independent T-test at the significant level of α=0.05. Results: The medical graduates’ attitude scores in the three domains of diagnosis, treatment, and prescription were 3.2.±0.27 , 3.21±0.30, and 3.06±0.37; and those of medical interns were 3.44±0.58 ,3.21±0.55 , and 2.97±0.59, respectively. The highest and lowest attitude mean scores of both groups in all of the three domains belonged to neonatal disorders and parasitic diseases. Mean attitude scores of the two groups  in the three mentioned domains were not significantly different. Conclusion: The intern’ self-assessment scores of attitude about children outpatients were not at a high level; and they did not increase parallel to working experience. Thus, improving clinical education is the main solution of the problem

The ability to self-regulate is one of the most important factors in relation with many positive psychological outcomes and should be fostered especially in students. The aim of the present study was to test the effectiveness of executive functions education on self-regulation base on mediator role of planning. The research design was semi-experimental design with pretest-posttest with control group. The statistical population of this study was all students in the fifth, sixth and seventh grade in the 2nd district of Tehran. The participants were 40 students who were enrolled in schools in academic year of 2018-19. These participants selected through convenience sampling. In the experimental group, 20 students received 8 sessions of 90 minutes of training, while the members of the control group received no training. The research tool was The Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function. For analysis of data, structural models with partial least squares approach were used in the form of MIMIC model. From significant findings of this study, we can mention the fitting of conceptual model as well as the direct and indirect effect of executive functions education on self-regulation. In sum the fitting model showed the importance of training and mediator variable

Background: The instability of marriage has a deep impact on a couple's relationship and family structure. Although many studies have been conducted on marital instability, the role of attitude towards marriage and emotional maturity in predicting marital instability has been under-examined. Aims: This research was conducted to identify the contribution of emotional maturity factors, attitude towards marriage, age at marriage, and income level to the instability of marriage of married men and women with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 years of marriage. Also, identifying the role of the factors of attitude towards marriage and the factors of emotional maturity in predicting the instability of the marriage of the two studied groups is one of the goals of this study. Methods: In this research, descriptive, correlation, and regression tests have been used. One-hundred ninety-seven men and women with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 years of history of marriage and at least one child were selected using non-probability purposive available sampling and answered questionnaires about marital instability (Booth et al, 1987), attitude towards marriage (Rozon and Bratton, 1998) and emotional maturity (Singh and Bhargava, 1974) have answered. The age at the time of marriage and the amount of income were collected through interviews. The data have been analyzed using t, correlation, and regression tests. Results: In this research, descriptive, correlation, and regression methods were used. One hundred and ninety-seven men and women with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 years of cohabitation were selected as available to answer questionnaires on marital instability (Booth et al, 1987), attitudes toward marriage (Rozon and Bratton, 1998), and emotional maturity (Singh and Bhargava, 1974) to answer. Also, the age at the time of marriage and the amount of income were collected through interviews. Data were analyzed using t, correlation, and regression tests. Conclusion: The results showed that pessimism in women and men, lack of emotional stability in women, and social adjustment in men affect the degree of marital instability. The results of this research can be used to formulate and implement educational and therapeutic programs to reduce couples' pessimism and increase women's emotional stability and men's social adjustment to reduce couples' marriage instability
