Hypertension is one of the major risk factor for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. One of primary management of hypertension include dietary changes which could incorporate dietary supplementation ,also use of non pharmacological treatment options is high in patients with high blood pressure .Garlic has played an important dietary as well as medicinal role in human history and it has been on the top ten lists of herbal sales among people. For evaluating the effect of garlic on blood pressure ,we reviewed clinical trials published from 1982 until 2013 by searching in informative bank such as PubMed، Ovid، Elsevier Science , Google Scholar with keywords garlic , blood pressure, hypertension and herbal supplement. The result of this review article showed that several clinical trials have suggested garlic lowers systolic and or diastolic blood pressure and has beneficial effect in controlling hypertension, but negative results also have been obtained in some of trials .Blood pressure reducing properties of garlic have been linked to its hydrogen sulphide production and allicin content , liberated from alliin and the enzyme alliinase. large scale trials are needed to investigate whether standardized garlic preparations could provide a safe alternative or complementary treatment option for hypertension in clinical practice

Background: Financial statements are one of the main ways for companies to communicate in order to provide financial and non-financial information to their stakeholders. The purpose of this research was to investigate the relevance of accounting information value. It was for pharmaceutical companies active in Tehran Stock Exchange. Methods: This descriptive-correlational study was conducted on 26 pharmaceutical companies admitted to the stock exchange during the period of 2000 to 2019. The method of collecting information was based on two library models and the information included in the financial statements of the companies. To estimate the value relevance of accounting information in this study, the non-parametric method of classification and regression tree (CART) was used, which automatically includes non-linear relationships and interactions between variables, and simple linear regression was used to test the trend of value relevance. Results: The results showed that the trend of relevance of the composite value of accounting information increased during the research period for pharmaceutical companies, but it was not statistically significant. The results of the relevance of the value of single variables show a decrease in the relevance of the value of known intangible assets, which includes goodwill and software, and an increase in the relevance of the value of alternative performance measures for pharmaceutical companies. Conclusion: The relevance of the accounting information value of pharmaceutical companies allows investors to easily adjust their investment strategies in the Bahadra Stock Exchange and make informed decisions to achieve their goals and allocate resources to more profitable investments

The aim of this research was to investigate the role of family structure, parental monitoring and affiliation with delinquent peers in predicting juvenile delinquency. In this Cross-sectional study, 96 delinquent adolescents and 91 non-delinquent adolescents, chosen through a convenient sampling in Tehran, completed parental monitoring inventory and affiliation with delinquent peers scale. Data was analyzed using Logestic regression analysis. Reliability of the questionnaires verified using internal consistency and test-retest methods. Regarding Logestic regression analysis results, among predicting variables, family structure and affiliation with delinquent peers were significant predictors of juvenile delinquency. These factors could explain 29 to 39 percent of delinquency variance. Parental monitoring was also unable to predict delinquency, but it could significantly predict affiliation with delinquent peers. The results of the present study were in line with results of the previous researches and showed that distress in family structure and affiliation with delinquent peers have a significant role in the delinquency phenomenon. Therefore, it seems necessary to consider these factors as influential factors in promoting delinquency

The purpose of this study was to examine the life experiences of female teachers with high job satisfaction in relation to their successful resolution of work-family conflict. A qualitative approach with basic research purposes was used in this study. The study population consisted of employed female teachers with high job satisfaction in public and private schools in Tehran, Mahabad and Piranshahr (in 2020-2021), of which 10 individuals were selected through purposive sampling and snowballing methods. Sampling continued until data saturation. The Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (JSQ) was used to investigate the job satisfaction of female teachers. The instrument used to examine the successful resolution of work-family conflict was a semi-structured interview. Interview data were analyzed using Colizzi’s seven-step method. The results showed that “strong and dynamic professional identity,” “adaptability and adjustability,” “clear demarcation,” “negotiation skills,” “embeddedness and the ability to satisfy the husband,” “support and responsibility of the spouse,” “seeking and accepting support within/outside the family,” and “tranquility at work” were effective in helping professional women to be satisfied with their work and successfully resolve work-family conflict. The results indicate that perceptions of a strong and dynamic identity and psychological resilience are two important experiences of job-satisfied women in successfully resolving work-family conflict. In order to increase the job satisfaction of professional women, in-service trainings can be conducted to strengthen and promote their psychological resilience

Get PDF
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine how internal marketing orientation affects balanced scorecard outcomes (financial performance, customer, internal process, learning and growth) in a small service businesses context. Design/methodology/approach Drawing from the small businesses, the relationship between internal marketing orientation and performance is hypothesized and tested. A structural equation modeling (SEM) test with maximum likelihood estimation was performed to test the relationship between the research variables. Findings The results obtained from the SEM analyzes revealed that internal marketing orientation positively impacts the levels of financial and non-financial performance. The results also indicate that non-financial performance measures (that is, customer, internal process, learning and growth) directly affect financial performance. Originality/value This study unpacks the mechanism between internal marketing orientation and balanced scorecard outcomes and contributes to the academic research of internal marketing orientation in the context of small businesses. </jats:sec

'''Preparation of fine ammonium perchlorate (AP) particles and thermal behaviour of it are known as the most important challenges in the crystallization and propellant sciences. We introduced an effective method of fine AP preparation named high rate cooling crystallization (HRC). This work presents application of Taguchi approach for optimizing the HRC method. In this study a set of experiments was designed according to the Taguchi L9 array. Experimental design was originated from four effective parameters containing; temperature, pressure, solvent type (water and ethanol) and anticaking agentsodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). After preparation of fine AP particles average particle size (APS) was measured using laser mass spectrometry (LMS-30). APS, contribution, and the analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used to investigate performance factors affecting the operation condition. According to the data obtained, anti-caking agent and solvent type were represented the main effect on the preparation of micronized AP by using HRC method. Furthermore, the optimum condition in preparation of fine AP particles by using HRC method was ethanol solvent, 10atm pressure, 0.4 % SDS, and 60ËšC temperature. Thermal behaviour of the optimized particles was investigated using TG/DSC analysis. Finety of the particles positively shifted the low temperature decomposition (LTD) region of fine optimized sample in comparison with coarse pure AP. Crystallinity of sample was confirmed by SEM and XRD analysis

This study was carried out in August – september 2009 in Bushehr province waters. Two different shrimp bottom trawls were used in which were woven by Poly Amid and Poly Ethylene with mesh sizes (stretched) of 50 mm and sack with 35 mm. Also 2 different vessels of two dhows and one steel ship each with 26 and 30 hauls were used and taken in to comparison from point of obtained results. Total catch of PA and PE trawels were 4592 and 5535 kg of which the ratio of shrimp catch and by catch for PA trawl was 32.4 and 67.6 % respectively; and for PE trawl was 34.2 and 65.8%. Total catch of PA and PE trawls of steel trawler ( ship ) were estimated 3158.0 and 4784.7 kg, respectively, of which the shrimp/ bycatch ratio was 6.6 : 93.4%. There was a higher amount of bycatch for PE comparing to PA trawl (p<0.05). on the other hand the decrease of shrimp and bycatch for PA comparing to PE dhow trawlers were 21.3 and 15.0% and for ship were 34.6 and 34.0% respectively. The weight ratio is 1:15 i.e . in PE ship trawl, in proportion to on kg shrimp, 15 kg bycatch was harvested. it is proposed to standardize the mesh size and also to do obligtory the instal of squared mesh size panel
