MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA SMA PADA MATERI GELOMBANG BUNYI MENGGUNAKAN STRATEGI MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES

A person has compound intelligence is the foundation for improving cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning achievements. Individually, the multiple intelligences that a person has are more than one or heterogeneous, so that abilities may be developed with some compound intelligence. The method of study used is descriptive research that is intended to give a description of symptoms, events and actual circumstances, in this case would clearly depict a student has description of sound wave material using a compound wave method. Before student obtain treatment of sound wave material using a compound intelligence strategy, the student mastery level was still very low, but when given the treatment with the compound intelligence strategy the student mastery level experienced improvement

IMPROVING STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILL THROUGH GROUP INVESTIGATION TECHNIQUE AT XI IPA 2 STUDENTS’ OF SMA NEGERI 1 KOTA SORONG

This research used the group investigation technique to improve students’ speaking skills. The subject of this research was the XI IPA 2 of SMA Negeri 1 Kota Sorong, which consisted of 35 students. This study employed "classroom action research," and the data were qualitative. The qualitative data were taken from an observation sheet, a speaking proficiency rubric, a questionnaire, and an interview. The results of the questionnaire show that, overall, students think that the use of the group investigation technique can help students be more active in learning, which has an impact on improving students' speaking skills. Another piece of data that supports student success is the calculation of rubric score data. Based on the results of the rubric score in cycle 1, 3 out of 35 students who managed to meet the good criteria with the results of the classical learning completeness calculation scored only 8 out of 70. In cycle 2, 7 out of 35 students who managed to meet the good criteria with the results of the classical learning completeness calculation scored 20 out of 70. In cycle 3, 25 out of 35 students who managed to meet the good criteria with the results of the classical learning completeness calculation scored 71 out of 70. The number of students who have met the good criteria has increased, as has the completeness of classical learning among students. In other words, students' speaking ability increases and gets better from the first cycle to the third cycle. This proves that the use of the group investigation technique can improve students' speaking skills

PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA KELAS VII SEMESTER GENAP

Abstrak, Pendidikan yang baik dilihat dari proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar yang dicapai oleh para lulusan. Oleh karena itu perbaikan mutu pendidikan pada setiap jenjang telah dilakukan oleh pemerintah dengan penyempurnaan kurikulum, penyediaan sarana dan prasarana, fasilitas belajar, sumber balajar,  peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas dengan pendekatan kompetensi siswa. Namun tidak dapat dipungkiri hasil yang didapat masih jauh dari apa yang diharapkan yang mana nilai hasil belajar IPA masih rendah. Guru harus mampu memberikan keterampilan dalam  mengembangkan pengetahuan serta sikap percaya diri agar dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang berkaitan dengan proses sains, membentuk sikap positif terhadap ilmu sains dengan menikmati dan menyadari keindahan, keteraturan perilaku alam serta dapat menjelaskan berbagai peristiwa alam dan dapat menerapkan keluasan ilmu sains dalam kehidpan sehari-hari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Non random control group, pre-test-post-test design (Donald Ary, 2010: 307). Sebelum proses pembelajaran dimulai dilakukan tes awal (pre-test), dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Perbedaan pemahaman konsep antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran discover learning dengan siswa  yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi tata surya. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan  nilai thitung 2,426 dengan nilai signifikannya adalah 0,018<0,05. Sementara keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada materi tata surya dengan mempunyai nilai  thitung 2,732 dengan nilai signifikannya 0,008<0,05 dengan nilai dk=N-2-62.                       &nbsp

KORELASI KECERDASAN VERBAL LINGUISTIK TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR BAHASA INGGRIS PESERTA DIDIK PADA KELAS XI DAN XII IPA SMA YPPKK MORIA KOTA SORONG

Penelitian  ini  membahas  tentang  pengaruh  kecerdasan linguistik verbal  terhadap prestasi  belajar  peserta  didik. Kecerdasan linguistik verbal merupakan salah satu jenis kecerdasan yang di akui oleh para ahli dalam dunia pendidikan, karena kecerdasan linguistik verbal berkaitan langsung dengan pemahaman peserta didik dalam menggunakan dan memanfaatkan bahasa. Tujuan  dari  penelitian  ini  untuk  mengetahui  tentang hubungan kecerdasan linguistik verbal terhadap  prestasi  belajar  bahasa  Inggris  peserta  didik  kelas  XI dan XII IPA SMA YPPKK MORIA Kota Sorong. Jenis  penelitian  ini  merupakan  penelitian  kuantitatif,  dengan  pendekatan  penelitian  asosiatif atau  hubungan.  Sampel  dalam  penelitian  ini adalah   seluruh peserta   didik   kelas  XI dan XII IPA SMA YPPKK MORIA Kota Sorong.  Instrumen   yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini  kuesioner   dan   analisis  dokumen.  Teknik  analisis  data  yang  di  gunakan  berupa analisis statistik, proses pengolahan data yang dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan bantuan software SPSS versi 21 guna mempermudah dan mendapat hasil yang akurat
