This research investigated the actual condition of the student life of the Care and Welfare students. Catalog of Quality of Student Life (version 3) which was invented and developed by Professor Minematsu from the Health Science Center at Kyushu University was used. The following points were revealed. There was a positive correlation between the QOSL score in total and the satisfaction score. As the students get older, the score was also increased. Average QOSL score in items such as "Social Relationship" or "Future Prospect" was higher among the 2nd year students compared to that of the 1st year students. It was revealed that information about the course and the job opportunities after graduation should be given fully to the 1st year students

Catalog of Quality of Student Life (version 3) which was invented and developed by Associate Professor Minematsu from the Health Science Center at Kyushu University was used. The following points were revealed. 1. The result showed that the QOSL score in total and the satisfaction score were higher compared to other schools and it can be generally said that the students are enjoying the school life. 2. There was a positive correlation between the QOSL score in total and the satisfaction score and it is necessary to support the students to be able to lead satisfied and enjoyable school life. 3. It was revealed that there was a difference in QOSL scores and its contents according to the students\u27 age. It is necessary to grasp the characteritscis of students of different grades and give enough support. 4. It was also discussed that to give students support and an environment where they can utilize the information they have collected as well as fostering the healthy human relationship

Search for eccentric black hole coalescences during the third observing run of LIGO and Virgo

Despite the growing number of confident binary black hole coalescences observed through gravitational waves so far, the astrophysical origin of these binaries remains uncertain. Orbital eccentricity is one of the clearest tracers of binary formation channels. Identifying binary eccentricity, however, remains challenging due to the limited availability of gravitational waveforms that include effects of eccentricity. Here, we present observational results for a waveform-independent search sensitive to eccentric black hole coalescences, covering the third observing run (O3) of the LIGO and Virgo detectors. We identified no new high-significance candidates beyond those that were already identified with searches focusing on quasi-circular binaries. We determine the sensitivity of our search to high-mass (total mass M>70 M⊙) binaries covering eccentricities up to 0.3 at 15 Hz orbital frequency, and use this to compare model predictions to search results. Assuming all detections are indeed quasi-circular, for our fiducial population model, we place an upper limit for the merger rate density of high-mass binaries with eccentricities 0<e≤0.3 at 0.33 Gpc−3 yr−1 at 90\% confidence level

Ultralight vector dark matter search using data from the KAGRA O3GK run

Among the various candidates for dark matter (DM), ultralight vector DM can be probed by laser interferometric gravitational wave detectors through the measurement of oscillating length changes in the arm cavities. In this context, KAGRA has a unique feature due to differing compositions of its mirrors, enhancing the signal of vector DM in the length change in the auxiliary channels. Here we present the result of a search for U(1)B−L gauge boson DM using the KAGRA data from auxiliary length channels during the first joint observation run together with GEO600. By applying our search pipeline, which takes into account the stochastic nature of ultralight DM, upper bounds on the coupling strength between the U(1)B−L gauge boson and ordinary matter are obtained for a range of DM masses. While our constraints are less stringent than those derived from previous experiments, this study demonstrates the applicability of our method to the lower-mass vector DM search, which is made difficult in this measurement by the short observation time compared to the auto-correlation time scale of DM

Anti-Metastatic Effects on Melanoma via Intravenous Administration of Anti-NF-κB siRNA Complexed with Functional Peptide-Modified Nano-Micelles

Controlling metastasis is an important strategy in cancer treatment. Nanotechnology and nucleic acids with novel modalities are promising regulators of cancer metastasis. We aimed to develop a small interfering RNA (siRNA) systemic delivery and anti-metastasis system using nanotechnology. We previously reported that polyethylene glycol-polycaprolactone (PEG-PCL) and functional peptide CH2R4H2C nano-micelle (MPEG-PCL-CH2R4H2C) has high siRNA silencing effects, indicated by increased drug accumulation in tumor-bearing mice, and has an anti-tumor effect on solid tumors upon systemic injection. In this study, we aimed to apply our micelles to inhibit metastasis and evaluated the inhibitory effect of anti-RelA siRNA (siRelA), which is a subunit of NF-κB conjugated with MPEG-PCL-CH2R4H2C, via systemic administration. We report that siRelA/MPEG-PCL-CH2R4H2C had a high cellular uptake and suppressed the migration/invasion of cells in B16F10 cells without toxicity. In addition, in a lung metastasis mouse model using intravenous administration of B16F10 cells treated with siRelA/MPEG-PCL-CH2R4H2C, the number of lung nodules in lung tissue significantly decreased compared to naked siRelA and siControl/MPEG-PCL-CH2R4H2C micelle treatments. Hence, we show that RelA expression can reduce cancer metastasis, and MPEG-PCL-CH2R4H2C is an effective siRNA carrier for anti-metastasis cancer therapies

Patient engagement for patient safety is emphasized in recent years. Therefore, the Committee on Quality and Patient Safety of the Japan Primary Care Association developed a Japanese Patient Engagement Promotion Training (J‐PEPT) course. J‐PEPT promotes to facilitate the implementation of PE strategies and contributes to nationwide dissemination for patient safety
