Cloud Based Application Development for Accessing Restaurant Information on Mobile Device using LBS
Over the past couple of years, the extent of the services provided on the
mobile devices has increased rapidly. A special class of service among them is
the Location Based Service(LBS) which depends on the geographical position of
the user to provide services to the end users. However, a mobile device is
still resource constrained, and some applications usually demand more resources
than a mobile device can a ord. To alleviate this, a mobile device should get
resources from an external source. One of such sources is cloud computing
platforms. We can predict that the mobile area will take on a boom with the
advent of this new concept. The aim of this paper is to exchange messages
between user and location service provider in mobile device accessing the cloud
by minimizing cost, data storage and processing power. Our main goal is to
provide dynamic location-based service and increase the information retrieve
accuracy especially on the limited mobile screen by accessing cloud
application. In this paper we present location based restaurant information

Formal Verification of Safety Properties for Ownership Authentication Transfer Protocol
In ubiquitous computing devices, users tend to store some valuable
information in their device. Even though the device can be borrowed by the
other user temporarily, it is not safe for any user to borrow or lend the
device as it may cause private data of the user to be public. To safeguard the
user data and also to preserve user privacy we propose and model the technique
of ownership authentication transfer. The user who is willing to sell the
device has to transfer the ownership of the device under sale. Once the device
is sold and the ownership has been transferred, the old owner will not be able
to use that device at any cost. Either of the users will not be able to use the
device if the process of ownership has not been carried out properly. This also
takes care of the scenario when the device has been stolen or lost, avoiding
the impersonation attack. The aim of this paper is to model basic process of
proposed ownership authentication transfer protocol and check its safety
properties by representing it using CSP and model checking approach. For model
checking we have used a symbolic model checker tool called NuSMV. The safety
properties of ownership transfer protocol has been modeled in terms of CTL
specification and it is observed that the system satisfies all the protocol

Integrating artificial intelligence for knowledge management systems â synergy among people and technology: a systematic review of the evidence
This paper analyses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Knowledge
Management (KM) and focuses primarily on examining to what
degree AI can help companies in their efforts to handle information and manage knowledge effectively. A search was carried out
for relevant electronic bibliographic databases and reference lists
of relevant review articles. Articles were screened and the eligibility was based on participants, procedures, comparisons, outcomes
(PICO) model, and criteria for PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items
for Systematic Reviews). The results reveal that knowledge management and AI are interrelated fields as both are intensely connected to knowledge; the difference reflects in how â while AI
offers machines the ability to learn, KM offers a platform to better
understand knowledge. The research findings further point out
that communication, trust, information systems, incentives or
rewards, and the structure of an organization; are related to
knowledge sharing in organizations. This systematic literature
review is the first to throw light on KM practices & the knowledge
cycle and how the integration of AI aids knowledge management
systems, enterprise performance & distribution of knowledge
within the organization. The outcomes offer a better understanding of efficient and effective knowledge resource management
for organizational advantage. Future research is necessary on
smart assistant systems thus providing social benefits that
strengthen competitive advantage. This study indicates that
organizations must take note of definite KM leadership traits and
organizational arrangements to achieve stable performance
through KM
Social distance and face mask detector system exploiting transfer learning
As time advances, the use of deep learning-based object detection algorithms has also evolved leading to developments of new human-computer interactions, facilitating an exploration of various domains. Considering the automated process of detection, systems suitable for detecting violations are developed. One such applications is the social distancing and face mask detectors to control air-borne diseases. The objective of this research is to deploy transfer learning on object detection models for spotting violations in face masks and physical distance rules in real-time. The common drawbacks of existing models are low accuracy and inability to detect in real-time. The MobileNetV2 object detection model and YOLOv3 model with Euclidean distance measure have been used for detection of face mask and physical distancing. A proactive transfer learning approach is used to perform the functionality of face mask classification on the patterns obtained from the social distance detector model. On implementing the application on various surveillance footage, it was observed that the system could classify masked and unmasked faces and if social distancing was maintained or not with accuracies 99% and 94% respectively. The models exhibited high accuracy on testing and the system can be infused with the existing internet protocol (IP) cameras or surveillance systems for real-time surveillance of face masks and physical distancing rules effectively
RNA-Mediated Epigenetic Programming of Genome Rearrangements
RNA, normally thought of as a conduit in gene expression, has a novel mode of action in ciliated protozoa. Maternal RNA templates provide both an organizing guide for DNA rearrangements and a template that can transport somatic mutations to the next generation. This opportunity for RNA-mediated genome rearrangement and DNA repair is profound in the ciliate Oxytricha, which deletes 95% of its germline genome during development in a process that severely fragments its chromosomes and then sorts and reorders the hundreds of thousands of pieces remaining. Oxytrichaâs somatic nuclear genome is therefore an epigenome formed through RNA templates and signals arising from the previous generation. Furthermore, this mechanism of RNA-mediated epigenetic inheritance can function across multiple generations, and the discovery of maternal template RNA molecules has revealed new biological roles for RNA and has hinted at the power of RNA molecules to sculpt genomic information in cells
Effectiveness of social robots as a tutoring and learning companion: a bibliometric analysis
AbstractA long-term perspective on how technology will mature is needed whereby robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) have accomplished a consequential and remarkable impact by finding their way into mainstream higher education. Robots have already become an indispensable factor in society and possess high potency as a part of educational technology. Social robot education is limited to complementing the digital aptitude of students in the world of information, and the role of social robots is crucial in polishing students âcognitive and social abilities. This study reviews the effectiveness of social robots in education, where we highlight the application of educational robots, surrounded by a blend of social robots and enactive didactics, which could lead to promising ideas for tutoring activities in education. It is empirically proven that social robots can assist with literature, science, or technology education. We synthesize the role of social robots in education and weigh their pros and cons by examining the impact of their appearance on robotsâ performance as tutors, tools, or peers in learning exercises. The current study is the first bibliometric analysis that reflects robotsâ impact in the education field as tutors and learning companions. A total of 288 articles were reviewed, and the data were extracted to construct an overview through bibliometrics. The outcome of this study paves the way for educational institutes to make informed and fruitful decisions on the applicability of robots, which can help them comprehend the learning styles of students and create knowledgeable and well-adjusted learners
The assessment of locavorism through the lens of agritourism: the pursuit of touristâs ethereal experience
AbstractThe popularity of local foods is increasing among the masses, especially tourists, and this has led to the inception of âlocavorismâ where the consumers â termed locavores â look for sustainable local foods. We gauge touristsâ ideology of locavorism through the lens of agritourism in India as we found it crucial to highlight and enhance local foods as an addition to the touristsâ palate. A pre- and post-survey was conducted using repeated measures multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) to empirically assess 8 Agritourism farmsâ touristsâ behaviour towards locavorism. Data was collected among tourists by using a self-report questionnaire during two phases (check-in and check-out; nâ=â344). Findings underscore that touristsâ intention to buy local food increases considerably after experiencing Agritourism. This study is the first of its kind to understand the perception of tourists towards Indiaâs ethnic cuisine, its role in augmenting tourist experience, and in figuring out better ways to sustain local foods. The impact that Agritourism has on touristsâ behaviour towards locavorism and its continuing effects on the local economy needs to be studied by researchers. Future research can extend the concept of locavorism to service providers by understanding their perception of producing and marketing sustainable local foods
