We visited to Institute of Dentistry at The University of Oulu to see a Finnish medical information system and to see on-the-spot welfare in August 2012. We report the use of the information communication technology (ICT) in the field of a medical and welfare in Finland. The need for interoperable health information system is most important theme in health informatics field. In Finland, the ministry of Social Affairs and Health initiated an implementation project to build a national, centralized health information archive. This Finnish system consists of a national health records archive, a national electric prescriptions system and a wab portal for citizens' access to personal health information. A national health records archive is the database of the citizen's medical information record. Any doctor can see the patient's medical information such as the treatment records and results of physical examination and blood test, outcome of treatment, and so on. An electric prescription is the system that helps to issue and sign the prescriptions electronically. This system is included in the pharmaceutical database. eAccess is called“ My own health”. All people can see the history of his/her prescriptions and treatment and his/her health records by eAccess. This Finnish system is still under construction. The goal of this project will be finished in September 2015. After integration of the Nations in EU, peoples move to the other country freely without VISA. A lot of people can move to the countries in EU easily. Therefore, the traveler with the disease may be increased. This Finnish system will be provided with their important medical record data for the doctor or dentist to help to treat their disease anytime and anywhere. In near future, we should introduce the health information system like the Finnish system for keeping our health condition. It is one of useful tool that the medical bill and medical malpractice will be reduced

Data regarding the in-depth surface marker profiles of gastric tissue-resident lymphocytes in autoimmune and Helicobacter pylori-associated gastritis are lacking. In this study, we investigated potential differences in lymphocyte composition between these profiles. We enrolled patients with autoimmune (n = 14), active (current infection of H. pylori in the stomach; n = 10), and inactive gastritis (post-eradication of H. pylori; n = 20). Lymphocytes were isolated from the greater curvature of the stomach and lesser curvature of the body and analyzed using flow cytometry. The CD8(+)/CD3(+) and CD4(+)/CD3(+) ratios differed between the samples. Body CD4(+)/antrum CD4(+), which is calculated by dividing the CD4(+)/CD3(+) ratio in the body by that in the antrum, was significantly higher in autoimmune gastritis (3.54 +/- 3.13) than in active (1.47 +/- 0.41) and inactive gastritis (1.42 +/- 0.77). Antrum CD8(+)/CD4(+) in autoimmune gastritis (7.86 +/- 7.23) was also higher than that in active (1.49 +/- 0.58) and inactive gastritis (2.84 +/- 2.17). The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of antrum CD8(+)/CD4(+) was 0.842, and the corresponding optimal cutoff point was 4.0, with a sensitivity of 71.4% and a specificity of 93.3%. We propose that an antrum CD8(+)/CD4(+) ratio > 4.0 is a potential diagnostic marker for autoimmune gastritis

We prepared career advancement program “Experience learning in medical team treatment" towards the second, third and fouth year students of dental school. This program consits of prior learning concerned with 'Team treatment and Dental profession' and experience learning in medical team treatment at Tokushima University Hospital. The purpose of this program was to rouse career conciousness as a dental profession. This program provided students with career image which they want to be in the future. Besides, they were motivated to study more widely to approach their own image. In this paper,we evaluated the effects of the program“The experience learning in medical team treatment" on career advancement of dental school students. As a result,it is suggested that this program might be fruitful as career advancement on dental students
