A Two Parameter Family of the Calabi-Yau d-Fold

We study a two parameter family of Calabi-Yau d-fold by means of mirror symmetry. We construct mirror maps and calculate correlation functions associated with {\kae} moduli in the original manifold. We find there are more complicated instanton corrections of these couplings than threefolds, which is expected to reflect families of instantons with continous parameters.Comment: 31 pages, Latex fil

Graded Limits of Minimal Affinizations in Type D

We study the graded limits of minimal affinizations over a quantum loop algebra of type D in the regular case. We show that the graded limits are isomorphic to multiple generalizations of Demazure modules, and also give their defining relations. As a corollary we obtain a character formula for the minimal affinizations in terms of Demazure operators, and a multiplicity formula for a special class of the minimal affinizations

BRST analysis of N=2 superconformal minimal unitary models in Coulomb gas formalism

We perform a BRST analysis of the N=2 superconformal minimal unitary models. A bosonic as well as fermionic BRST operators are used to construct irreducible representations of the N=2 superconformal algebra on the Fock space as BRST cohomology classes of the BRST operators. Also a character formula is rederived by using the BRST analysis.Comment: 34 pages, 2 eps figure

The Determinants of Executive Compensation in Japan and the UK: Agency Hypothesis or Joint Determination Hypothesis?

    Get PDF
Although there are many studies on executive compensation, many of these studies often take for granted the 'Anglo-American style of corporate governance'. This paper seeks to contrast the effect of corporate governance on the directors' incentive, by comparing the UK and Japan. There is a positive and significant relationship between directors' pay and employees' average wage in Japan, suggesting that both directors and employees have a similar incentive system while no such relationship is observed in the UK. These results suggest that the difference in corporate governance affects the director's salary and their incentives.Executive Compensation, Corporate Governance, Company performance, Japan, UK
