    Peran Asertivitas dan Empati Sebagai Prediktor untuk Memprediksi Perilaku Prososial

    Students need to have prosocial behavior, but in reality not all students have prosocial behavior. Prosocial behavior occurs because of voluntary behavior designed to help others without asking for anything in return, an attitude of sensitivity, empathy and those who provide help will feel satisfied when they get help. This study aims to examine assertiveness and empathy as predictors to predict student prosocial behavior. This study took the subject of students at University X with a total of 100 students. The sample selection was based on simple random sampling. Data obtained from the scale of assertiveness, empathy and prosocial behavior. The researcher's data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The results showed that the hypothesis of assertiveness and empathy was able to have a role as a predictor and predict the occurrence of student prosocial behavior, the contribution of the effect was 74.9%. It is proven by the value of F = 145,096 and the value of p = 0.000 (p<0.05). The second hypothesis is assertiveness is able to predict student prosocial behavior as evidenced by beta value = 0.193 and p value = 0.026 (p < 0.05) and the third hypothesis is empathy is able to predict student prosocial behavior as evidenced by beta value = 0.856 and p value = 0.000 (p < 0.05).Mahasiswa saat ini perlu memiliki perilaku prososial, namun kenyataannya tidak semua mahasiswa memiliki prososial. Perilaku prososial terjadi karena adanya perilaku sukarela yang dirancang mahasiswa untuk menolong orang lain tanpa meminta balasan, sikap asertivitas, empati dan mereka yang memberikan bantuan akan merasa puas ketika mendapat bantuan. Penelitian memiliki tujuan untuk mengkaji asertivitas dan empati berperan sebagai prediktor untuk memprediksi perilaku prososial mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mengambil subjek mahasiswa di Universitas X dengan jumlah sebanyak 100 mahasiswa. Pemilihan sampel penelitian didasarkan dari simple random sampling. Data didapatkan dari skala asertivitas, empati dan perilaku prososial. Teknik analisis data peneliti menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hipotesis satu asertivitas dan empati mampu memiliki peran sebagai prediktor dan memprediksi terjadinya perilaku prososial mahasiswa, kontribusi pengaruhnya 74.9%. Dibuktikan dengan nilai F = 145.096 dan nilai p = 0.000 (p<0.05). Hipotesis dua yaitu asertivitas mampu memprediksi perilaku prososial  mahasiswa dibuktikan dengan nilai beta=0.193 dan nilai p=0.026 (p<0.05) dan hipotesis tiga empati mampu memprediksi perilaku prososial  mahasiswa dibuktikan dengan nilai beta=0.856 dan nilai p=0.000 (p<0.05)

    This study aims to determine the effect of assertiveness and empathy on students' prosocial behavior at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Mulawarman University. This study uses quantitative methods using multiple regression analysis to determine how much influence and predictive ability the two independent variables have on the dependent variable. In this study, the subjects in this study were 100 students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Mulawarman University, using the accidental sampling method. Data collection methods used include assertiveness, empathy, and prosocial behavior scales. The collected data were analyzed with the help of SPSS 21.0 for the windows program. These results indicate a significant difference between assertiveness and empathy to prosocial behavior
