In this article, the authors consider the concept of spontaneity and the relationship of this characteristic with such individual personality characteristics as locus of control, autonomy, tolerance to uncertainty, creativity, self-regulation, flexibility in communication and spontaneity itself. The authors conduct an experiment that allows to trace this relationship. The research involved 205 people between the ages of 18 and 40, including 125 people living in Ukraine and 80 people living and studying abroad. The Ukrainian study group consisted of 82 women and 43 men. The group of foreign researchers consisted of 52 women and 28 men. To study the impact on the spontaneity of the sociocultural experience of the individual, representatives of other communities aged 18–39 were involved. The sample of foreign respondents was divided into 4 groups: countries in Europe, countries in Asia and Africa, CIS countries and other countries in the world 80 people in total. In the study, the authors conclude that spontaneity does not exist separately from other personality characteristics, is not an independent personal property that develops according to its own laws, but is closely connected with many important personality formations and structures, and in order to understand how these connections function, it is not enough to investigate spontaneity separately from other personality traits

Introduction. In modern conditions, the analysis of the personal and organizational factors behind teaching staff health has become a serious challenge. Aim: to empirically investigate the level of and factors behind teaching staff health. Methods. R. Straub "Assessment of Lifestyle and Health Level" (adapted by G. Zalevski) and a passport form. Results. In general, teaching staff have low-level physical and psychological health with the life mobility indicator being the most critical. Teaching staff psychological health is higher than their physical health. It has been shown that teaching staffs age, work experience and qualifications have negative correlations with the levels of their physical and psychological health. Conclusions. The results of the study indicate that teaching staff health is a serious problem, which has become especially acute during the pandemic COVID-19. There is a pressing need for effective organizational and individual teaching staff health promoting programs

Abstract The Russo-Ukrainian War has led to a humanitarian crisis, and many people volunteered to help affected refugees. This cross-sectional survey study investigates the relationships between the psychological impact of participation, coping mechanisms, and motivational functions of volunteering during the Russo-Ukrainian War among 285 Ukrainian and 435 Polish volunteers (N = 720). Multivariate linear regression was used to examine relationships between motivational functions and psychosocial and demographic characteristics. Ukrainian volunteers reported significantly higher Hyperarousal and Avoidance, Depression, Anxiety, and Stress, Problem-focused, Emotion-focused, and Avoidant coping, as well as total scores of Hardiness and Psychological Capital than Polish counterparts. Linear regression analysis found that Impact of the Event Scale results, Coping with Stress, being a female, unemployed, and religious were significantly associated with higher motivational functions. Ukrainian volunteers could significantly reduce negative feelings and strengthen social networks and religious faith by volunteering, while Polish volunteers were significantly more likely to gain skills and psychosocial development from helping others

Abstract The present study aimed to investigate the factors associated with the level of rumination about the war among people living in Poland and Ukraine. This cross‐sectional study recruited internet users from advertisements on social media. Levels of rumination, Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS), Impact of Event Scale‐Revised (IES‐R), time spent on news of the war, and related demographic variables were collected. The reliability and construct validity of rumination were estimated. Potential factors associated with the level of rumination were identified using univariate linear regression analysis, and further entered into a stepwise multivariate linear regression model to identify independent factors. Due to the non‐normality of distribution, multivariate linear regression with 5000 bootstrap samples was used to verify the results. A total of 1438 participants were included in the analysis, of whom 1053 lived in Poland and 385 lived in Ukraine. The questionnaires on rumination were verified to have satisfactory reliability and validity. After analysis with stepwise and bootstrap regression, older age, female gender, higher DASS and IES‐R scores, and longer time spent on news of the war were significantly associated with higher levels of rumination for both people living in Poland and Ukraine. Lower self‐rated health status, history of chronic medical illness and coronavirus disease 2019 infection were also positively associated with rumination for people living in Poland. We identified several factors associated with the level of rumination about the Russo‐Ukrainian War. Further investigations are warranted to understand how rumination affects individuals’ lives during crises such as war
