Structural Investigation of a Historical Masonry Arch Bridge under Far-Fault Earthquakes
In this research, it is aimed to observe a feature study around the assessment of static and dynamic productivity of a historical arch bridge (HAB) (Konjic Bridge (KB)) in view of dissimilar far fault earthquakes (FFEs). To explore the conduct of FFEs on KB, finite element model (F-E-M) of the KB is assembled and evaluated under various FFEs using ANSYS. Then, FFEs are considered as a result of their distinct, destructive velocity pulse characteristics. The maximum displacement values were found and correlated with the principal stresses and strains. At the conclusion of this investigation, it is observed that the arch of HAB has not more impact on the structural reaction of HAB. Furthermore, it is obviously detected that tensile stresses have not got the critic tensile strength (TS). Additionally, life cycle assessment (LCA) for HAB is also explored and observed that improving the longtime stress/strain values for HAB reduces the HAB life-expectancy dramatically
Examination of masonry arch bridge’s life-cycle assessment under far-fault earthquakes
The goal of this study is to examine the historical masonry arch bridge’s static and dynamic behavior using far-field fault earthquakes. The first step is to build a finite element model with ANSYS and SAP2000. This is done to see if the greatest possible displacements, primary stresses, and elastic strains compare. From above, the belt’s upper side appears to be vital for damage. Furthermore, a historical masonry arch bridge’s life cycle assessment is also researched and observed, which results in increased stress and strain values for the bridge, causing its expected life span to be drastically reduced
Gender Differences in Middle School Students’ Attitudes and Self-Efficacy Perceptions towards mBlock Programming
This study aims to assess the effects of teaching programming with mBlock on self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes considering programming. Particularly, this study tries to research whether there is a gender difference in middle school students or not. The study was conducted in pre-test/post-test quasi experimental design. The participants of the study which was completed in twelve weeks were 82 middle school students. The data were collected through “Educational Computer Games Assisted Learning Coding Attitude Scale” and “Computer Programming Self-efficacy Scale”. The results of the research indicate that although the self-efficacy perceptions of boys towards programming were higher than the girls’ at the beginning of the research, this difference was closed at the end of the research. The results also show that teaching programming with mBlock to middle school students did not cause gender differences in self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes regarding programming. Although girls’ attitudes regarding programming were slightly higher than boys’, the difference was not considered to be significant. In addition, it was found that programming with mBlock significantly increased students' self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes towards programming. As a result, teaching programming with mBlock can provide similar possibilities for both genders in self-efficacy perceptions and attitudes regarding programming
Non-refluxing and non-obstructive megaureter is usually diagnosed in neonates. It is very rare in adults. Herein we presented a 45 year-old man with macroscopic hematuria. He was diagnosed primary non-refluxing non-obstructive megaureter after clinical evaluations. In addition we reviewed current literature in the light of this very rare condition
Protective effects of dantrolene and methylprednisolone against spinal cord injury-induced early oxidative damage in rabbit bladder: A comparative experimental study
Conclusions. Dantrolene and MP may have potential benefits against oxidative damage in the bladder after SCIs because of their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. In particular, the combined use of DNT and MP at different doses can be considered a treatment strategy

Investigation on Seismic Behavior of Historical Tokatlı Bridge under Near-Fault Earthquakes
The main purpose of this study is to compare the static and dynamic behavior of a historical single-span masonry arch bridge under different near-fault earthquakes. The historical Tokatlı Bridge, built in Karabük, is chosen for this study. To investigate the behavior of near-fault earthquakes on the historical masonry bridge, first, a finite element model is built and analyzed under various near-fault earthquakes by using ANSYS and SAP2000. To build a finite element model, 162920 nodes and 47818 elements are used in ANSYS. First, finite element analysis results are compared to each other under Earth gravity. Then, ground motions near the fault are chosen to be used in this study. These earthquakes can be listed as follows: Cape Mend (1992), Kobe (1995), Superstition Hills (1987), Northridge (1994), Imperial Valley (1979), and Chi-Chi (1999). The behavior of the single-span historical bridge is obtained under these ground motions, and the results are compared with each other using contour diagrams using ANSYS. Furthermore, at the end of these analyses, it is observed that the tensile stresses have reached the permissible masonry tensile strength, especially on the upper side of the large belt, on the upper side of the belt, and on the side of the belt, and pose a risk for damage
Hidroselli Ventriküloperitoneal şant: Bir olgu sunumu ve literatürün gözden geçirilmesi
Natural history of the processus vaginalis is not known clearly. It appears that raised intraabdominal pressure is associated with an increased incidence of patency of the processus vaginalis. We evaluated a male child who had ventriculoperitoneal shunt and congenital hydrocele with the review of literature.Prosesus vaginalis'in doğal öyküsü net olarak bilinmemektedir.
