    The scholars who indicate the institutional quality as one of main sources of economic growth state that any endeavor of companies increasing production and employment are no longer sufficient for sustainable growth. Therefore, economies need intangible assets such as corporate reputation (CR). CR entirely depends on stakeholders’ perception. In this study, we investigate the potential linkage between CR and financial performances of companies, which can affect the stakeholders’ perception, in Turkey between 2006 and 2016. The results show that any increase in companies’ assets fosters the perceptions of stakeholders in next period while a raise in indebtedness causes worse reputation

    The behaviour of roof gable walls under the effect of earthquake load

    In this study, the effect of earthquake loads on roof gable walls and the behaviours of these roof gable walls are investigated. In preparation of the study, two experiments on cradle roof system which gets and does not get any loads off the roof members were carried out in all. The experiments were performed on the shaking table in Earthquake Research Department of General Directorate of Disaster Affairs. Through the experiments, some considerable results were obtained on the behaviours of roof gable walls under the effect of horizontal dynamic loads. The results obtained at the end of these examinations are given and discussed. Furthermore, suggestions to make the brick gable walls more reliable against the loads of earthquake are given. When the results of the experiments were generally taken into consideration, it was realized that the gable walls in both roof systems would partly or completely collapse even under the effect of a little horizontal dynamic load

    INVESTIGATION OF SHEAR BEHAVIOR OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS UNDER SIMPLE AND FIXED SUPPORT CONDITIONS

    Many experimental studies were carried out to research about reinforced concrete beams, which are an important part of the structural bearing system. In these studies, simple support conditions were generally taken into consideration. However, it is known that the support zones of beams in reinforced concrete buildings are closer to the fixed support conditions. In this study, the effect of the change of support conditions in reinforced concrete beams on the beam shear behavior was examined. For this purpose, 4 full-scale reinforced concrete beam elements were tested on a 4 point loading mechanism. Two of these specimens were tested with simple support and two with fixed support. In order to determine the behavior of the test elements, load-displacement curves were drawn, stiffness and energy consumption capacities were determined and cracks formed during the test were examined. When the test results were examined, it was found that the behavior of the fixed supported specimens were quite different from the ones of the simple supported specimens

    TARİHİ SİLLE SUBAŞI HAMAMI TAŞIYICI SİSTEM ANALİZİÖzetBu çalışmada, 19. yüzyıl Osmanlı Dönemi’nde inşa edilen ve Konya İli Selçuklu İlçesi’ne bağlı Sille Ak Mahallesi’nde bulunan tarihi Subaşı Hamamı’nın mevcut durum değerlendirmesi yapılıp, yapının statik ve dinamik yükler altındaki durumu incelenmiştir. Yapının üç boyutlu modeli oluşturulmuş, sonlu elemanlar yöntemine göre lineer analizi yapılmış ve taşıyıcı elemanları üzerinde oluşan gerilmeler ile yerdeğiştirmeler incelenmiştir. Subaşı Hamamı mimari açıdan kesit ve iç tasvir olarak iki sıcaklık, iki ılıklık ve bir su deposundan oluşmaktadır. İki sıcaklık ve iki ılıklık mekanının üzeri tuğladan yapılmış kubbeden, su deposunun üzeri ise beşik tonoz ile örtülmüştür. 19.5x18 metre boyutuna sahip olan hamamın yapılan araştırma, inceleme ve analiz sonucunda, yapının mevcut kesitlerinin büyük olmasından dolayı basınç ve kesme gerilmelerine karşı yeterli dayanımının olduğu; kubbe, beşik tonoz ve kapı köşelerinde bazı çatlakların oluştuğu; modal analiz sonunda mod şekilleri incelendiğinde en fazla zorlanan kısmın beşik tonoz olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Tarihi Yapı, Yığma Yapı, Taşıyıcı Sistem Analizi, Statik Lineer AnalizSTRUCTURAL ANALYSIS OF HISTORICAL SILLE SUBASI BATH AbstractIn this study, the present situation of the historical Subasi Bath, which was built in the 19th century Ottoman Period and located in the Sille Ak District of the Selcuklu District of Konya Province, was evaluated and the status of the building under static and dynamic loads was examined. A three-dimensional model of the structure was created using a computer program, a linear analysis was made according to the finite element method, and the stresses and displacements on the carrier elements were examined. Subasi Bath consists of two the hottest rooms, two the tepidity rooms and one water reservoir in terms of architectural cross-section and internal depiction. The hottest and the tepidity rooms spaces are covered with a dome made of brick, while the water tank is covered with a cradle vault. As a result of the research, examination and analysis of the bath, which has a size of 19.5x18 meters, it has sufficient resistance against pressure and shear stresses due to the big cross sections of the building; there are some cracks in the dome, cradle vault and door corners; When the modal analysis was examined, the most critical part was found to be the cradle vault.Keywords: Historical Structure, Masonry Structure, Structural Analysis, Static Analysi

    KONYA İLİNDEKİ HABERLEŞME BİNALARININ DEPREM GÜVENLİKLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ: ÖRNEK BİNA TÜRK TELEKOM BAŞMÜDÜRLÜK HİZMET BİNASI

    In this study, the projects of Turk Telecom Konya Manager Service Building that has great importance for Konya City were examined to determine its Earthquake Safety. Checking the corresponding properness between the projects and in-situ applications, the in-situ strength values were investigated whether they were satisfying the project values or not. The required static and reinforced concrete solutions were performed by the computer programs of SAP 2000 v7.4 and IDE Static IDS 3rd version that their properness and safety were compared with the existing condition by considering the Codes and Requirements that were in force in 2003, the research date. At the end of all these investigations, the strength of the mentioned communication building against a probable earthquake was compared with the obtained results.Bu çalışmada, Konya ili için önem arz eden haberleşme binalarından Türk Telekom Konya Başmüdürlük Hizmet Binasının Deprem Güvenliğinin belirlenmesi için yapıya ait mevcut olan projeler incelenmiştir. Projeler ile yerindeki uygulamaların birbirleri ile uyumlu olup olmadıkları kontrol edilerek, dayanımlarının projede belirlenen dayanım değerini sağlayıp sağlamadığı araştırılmıştır. Gerekli statik ve betonarme çözümler SAP 2000 7.4 ve İDE Statik IDS 3 sürüm bilgisayar programları ile çözülerek mevcut durumla uyumluluğu ve güvenliği, araştırma yapım yılı olan 2003 yılında yürürlükteki kanun ve yönetmeliklere göre karşılaştırılmıştır. Tüm bu araştırmalar sonucunda Konya için önemi büyük olan söz konusu haberleşme hizmet binasının olası bir depreme karşı güvenliği elde edilen sonuçlar ile irdelenmiştir

    Dynamiques épilinguistiques d’apprenants du secondaire général ivoirien sur les langues vivantes étrangères

    Résumé : Cette étude, inscrite dans le double champ de la sociolinguistique et de la didactique des langues-cultures, a pour objectif de décrire les représentations linguistiques des apprenants du secondaire général ivoirien à partir de leurs discours épilinguistiques sur les langues vivantes étrangères apprises à l’école. Dans une approche quantitative et qualitative, nous tentons de répondre au moyen d’un questionnaire et d’un entretien semi-directif à ces questions : Quelles sont les représentations linguistiques des apprenants sur les langues vivantes étrangères apprises dans l’institution scolaire ivoirienne ? Quel est l’impact de ces représentations sur l’apprentissage de ces langues ? Les discours épilinguistiques ont été obtenus dans trois établissements secondaires. Les résultats permettent de se rendre compte du contraste saisissant entre les représentations linguistiques positives des apprenants sur les langues vivantes étrangères et leur motivation à les apprendre. Bien que leur conscience disciplinaire soit claire, les difficultés d’apprentissage et quelquefois certaines pratiques enseignantes sont loin de leur faciliter la tâche.   Mots-clés : Côte d’Ivoire, enseignement-apprentissage, langues vivantes étrangères, représentations linguistiques

Çalışmanın hazırlanmasında, çatıelemanlarından yük alan ve almayan kalkan duvarlı beşik çatı sistemi üzerinde toplam iki deneyyapılmıştır. Deneyler, Bayındırlık ve İskan Bakanlığı’na bağlı Afet İşleri Genel Müdürlüğü DepremAraştırma Dairesi’nde bulunan sarsma tablası üzerinde yapılmıştır. Yapılan deneylerden, çatı kalkanduvarlarının yatay dinamik yükler etkisi altındaki davranışları hakkında önemli bilgiler edinilmiştir.Yapılan araştırmalardan elde edilen sonuçlara göre yapılarda uygulanan kâgir çatı kalkan duvarlarınındeprem yüküne karşı daha güvenilir hale getirilmesi için hangi önlemlerin alınması gerektiği hususuüzerinde durulmuştur

    TBDY 2018’e GÖRE TARİHİ SİLLE AK CAMİNİN STATİK ANALİZİÖzetKültürün önemli bir parçası olan tarihi binaların deprem gibi doğal afetler ve insanoğlunun yıpratıcı etkilerine karşı korumak ve gelecek nesillere aktarmak çok önemlidir. Bu tür yapıları korumak için tarihi binaların yapısal davranışlarını iyi bilmek gerekir. Tarihi yapıların depreme karşı güvenli olup olmadığını anlamak için yapıların deprem performans analizi yapılmalıdır. Günümüzde sonlu elemanlar yöntemi, tarihi binaların karmaşık geometri sistemlerinin modellenmesinde ve yapısal analizinde yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Çalışmaya örnek teşkil edecek tarihi yapı; Türk İslam Sanatı açısından önemli bir yere sahip olan Konya’daki Sille Ak Cami’dir. 1864 yılında inşa edilip 400 metrekarelik alanı ile Sille’nin en büyük camisidir. Tarihi Sille Ak Caminin TBDY 2018’e göre mevcut durumunun statik hesabı yapılmış ardından SAP 2000 programında yapısal analizi yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, yapının taşıyıcı sistemin durumu, kullanılan malzemelerin özellikleri, meydana gelen hasarların değerlendirilmesi, mevcut durumunun tespiti yapılarak gelecek nesillere taşınması, gerekli parametrelerin tartışılarak çözüm önerilerinin ortaya konması amaçlanmaktadır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Tarihi Yığma Yapı, TBDY-2018’e Göre Analizi, Sille Ak CamiiSTATIC ANALYSIS OF HISTORICAL SİLLE AK MOSQUE ACCORDING TO TBDY-2018AbstractIt is very important to protect the historical buildings, which are an important part of the culture, against natural disasters such as earthquakes and the destructive effects of human beings and to pass them on to future generations. To protect such structures, it is necessary to know the structural behavior of historical buildings. Earthquake performance analysis of the structures should be performed to see whether the historical buildings are safe from earthquakes. Today, the finite element method is widely used in the modeling and structural analysis of complex geometry systems of historical buildings. The historical structure that will serve as an example for the study; Sille Ak Mosque in Konya, which has an important place in Turkish Islamic Art. Built in 1864, it is the largest mosque in Sille with an area of 400 square meters. According to TBDY 2018, the structural analysis of SAP 2000 program was performed by manual static calculation according to the current situation of the historical Sille Ak Mosque.
