Results of travel-time curve calculation have been presented for P- and S-waves in the interval of epicentral distances 10-350 km by the records of 25 local earthquakes (mb=2,0÷3,4; h0=2÷7 km)and 43 industrial explosions. Comparison of calculated hodograph with global hodograph (h0=0 km) has been conducted. It has been found that within the limits of the studied interval of distances differences with Kennett hodograph are not essential and do not exceed 1,5 s (P) and 2 s(S), with hodograph of Jeffreys-Bullen differences are considerable within the distances less than 100 km - 3-6 s (P) and 4-8 s (S). The obtained hodograph has been compared with calculated earlier for the distances up to 500 km by the records of the earthquakes (mb=2,0÷4,0; h0=2÷10 km)of the Carpathian region, the western part of the East-European platform and industrial explosions

Results of analysis of the wave pattern and spectrograms of seismic events in the Dnieper-Donets aulakogen registered by a group of stations of the Main center for special control of MSAU have been presented. The sources of the earthquakes with magnitude mb = 3.0; 4.5 are situated at a depth of 3-10km at the boundary of graben zones: the central zone and the southern one adjacent to the edge near Poltava city and also on the northern fault near Lebedyn city of Sumy district. Relationship  of local seismicity and special features of  the earth crust structure in these areas of aulakogen revealed according to geological-geophysical data has been considered

The nature of seismic events recorded in the west of the Ukrainian Shield in 2005 - 2007.

For recognition of the nature of seismic events with epicentra located on the East-European platform within the limits of the western part of the Ukrainian Shield wave forms of seismic signals have been studied and the changes of spectral composition with time. The main distinctions have been revealed of weakly intense tectonic earthquakes and explosions produced in the open pits which are manifested in special features of distribution of spectrum density of transversal and surface waves depending on the filtration frequency according to spectrograms. In case of elaboration of criteria for identification of seismic events the records of earthquakes and explosions at the seismic stations of the Main Center of Special Control of NSA Ukraine, equipped with modern digital seismologic logistics have been used
