EXPERIMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFICIENCY OF THE TRAMETIN AT EXPERIMENTAL SALMONELLOSIS OF LABORATORY AND AGRICULTURAL ANIMALS

    Get PDF
Both clinical observation of animals and data of laboratory researches testify to the fact that veterinary medicine Trametin has high prophylactic efficacy at experimental salmonellosis in mice and in on-the-farm conditions in pigs. At the introduction of the medicine in an optimal dose while modelling dark stress we observed an increase in weight gains. The results of laboratory studies showed an increase in the protein content in blood serum, an increase in the content of phosphorus and calcium, an increase in hemoglobin and red blood cells. Phagocytic activity of piglets' blood in the group that received Trametin increased by 25 % in comparison with control values

Superposition of non-coaxial vortices in parametric wave mixing

    No full text
In this paper we present a comprehensive study of the dynamics of screw phase dislocations under conditions of noncoaxial parametric three-wave mixing in the pump low-depletion regime. Under such conditions the signal and idler fields couple and so, the fields’ properties change through propagation in the nonlinear crystal. We present an analytical model and a comprehensive study of the vortical features of the resulting field. The model is compared with the numerical solutions of the full equations. It is shown that by changing the relative amplitude and phase of the initial fields, one can control the domains where creation and annihilation of vortex-antivortex twins lead to different vortex content. We show that the effects studied here are relevant to a variety of physical systems. In particular, we show that the same phenomena are expected to occur in gyrotropic media and photonic crystals.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version

Nonlinear reflection of optical beams in the media with a thermal nonlinearity

    No full text
The features of the reflection of optical beams in the media with a defocusing thermal nonlinearity are analyzed. The dependence of the angle of the nonlinear total reflection on the power of the pump wave and the initial distance between the beams is determined. The reflection effects are studied for the interaction of the green (24 mW) and red (0.7 mW) laser beams that intersect at a relatively small angle (about 0.01 rad) in a 5-cm-long cuvette with the stained alcohol. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental data

Tunneling of Optical Beams through Inhomogeneity of a Refractive Index

We consider the effect of tunneling of optical beams through a narrow induced inhomogeneity in a refractive index. It is shown that under the condition of total internal reflection from the induced channel, part of the signal beam leaks if the channel is narrow. Dependence of the pump beam width at which the tunneling of half signal power occurs is found as a function of the pump intensity and the angle of beam crossing
