Pengaruh Konsentrasi Pupuk Hayati Bioboost terhadap Peningkatan Produksi Tanaman Selada (Lactuca Sativa. L)
Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.)is one of hleafy vegetables that have high economic value in Indonesia and it gives good benef its ton the con sumers.The us of organic fertilizers is expected to be more optimal in agriculture today, considering the impact that the use of inorganic fertilizers may damage the soil and increasing environmental pollution with chemical residues in the soil, which result in decreased land productivity. This study aimed to determine the effect of Bioboost fertilizer to increase crop yield of lettuce. Treatment were arranged in a Randomized Block Design, with one factor namely the concentration of Bioboost fertilizer consisting of 7 treatments: B0=0 cc (control), B1= 20 cc, B2= 40 cc, B3= 60 cc, B4= 80 cc, B5=100 cc per liter of water, and B6 = 120 cc / liter of water, with 3 replications so that there were 21 experimental units. Each treatmental unit consisted of 8 plants so that overall there were 168 plant populations. These results indicated that concentration of Bioboost bio-fertilizers gave a significant effects on the growth of lettuce. Fertilizer cencentration of 80 cc / liter of water (B4) was the best concentration for growth and increased yield of lettuce
New data on the systematics and interrelationships of sawfishes (Elasmobranchii, Batoidea, Pristiformes)
New characters based on the arrangement and morphology of dermal denticles
show that sawfishes can be divided into two distinctive groups. The first
group, comprising the knifetooth sawfish Anoxypristis cuspidata, is
characterized by tricuspid denticles variably located on both dorsal and
ventral parts of the body. The second group is represented by species of the
genus Pristis, showing an uniform and homogenous dermal covering of
monocuspidate denticles on both dorsal and ventral sides of the body and within
the buccopharyngeal cavity. Pristis is further divided into two subgroups: the
first comprises species with denticles lacking any keels and furrows (the
smalltooth sawfish Pristis pectinata, the green sawfish Pristis zijsron and the
dwarf sawfish Pristis clavata); the second comprises species with denticles
presenting keels and furrows well differentiated on their anterior part (the
common sawfish Pristis pristis, the largetooth sawfish Pristis perotteti and
the greattooth sawfish Pristis microdon). This investigation of the dermal
covering provides results which agree with studies that separate the same two
species groups of Pristis on the basis of other morphological data

Field and experimental studies of hybridization between coral trouts, Plectropomus leopardus and Plectropomus maculatus (Serranidae), on the Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Spawning aggregations of closely‐related coral trouts, Plectropomus leopardus and Plectropomus maculatus, were found to overlap in time and space on the Great Barrier Reef, thus providing opportunities for accidental hybridization by juxtaposition of heterospecific gametes. The relative abundance and mating strategy of coral trouts also favoured hybridization, since mates could be either rare in some habitats or monopolized by dominant fishes. In the latter case, sneak spawning may have occurred, even when behavioural barriers to reproduction (e.g. assortative mating) were operational. When heterospecific gametes were experimentally mixed, fertilization occurred and hybrid larvae developed. It was concluded that there was considerable opportunity for natural hybridization between coral trouts of the genus Plectropomus
