Stability analysis for switched discrete-time linear singular systems

    Get PDF
The stability of arbitrarily switched discrete-time linear singular (SDLS) systems is studied. Our analysis builds on the recently introduced one-step-map for SDLS systems of index-1. We first provide a sufficient stability condition in terms of Lyapunov functions. Furthermore, we generalize the notion of joint spectral radius of a finite set of matrix pairs, which allows us to fully characterize exponential stability

Fault-Tolerant Control for Non-sinusoidal Seven-phase PMSMs with Similar Copper Losses

    Get PDF
This paper proposes a strategy using new transformation matrices to calculate new current references when a non-sinusoidal seven-phase permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) has an open-circuited phase. The new current references allow to obtain a smooth torque with similar copper losses in the remaining healthy phases even when the back electromotive force (back-EMF) is non-sinusoidal. A real-time current learning process using an adaptive linear neural network (Adaline) is applied to extract from measured currents useful harmonic components in torque generation. It improves torque quality, especially at high speed, even when standard proportional-integral (PI) controllers are applied. In addition, similar copper losses in the remaining phases with the new current references can avoid overheating of windings. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is validated by numerical results. We would like to thank the CE2I project sponsored by European Regional Development Fund, French State, and French Region of Hauts-de-France for the financial support

Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of Nang Thom Cho Dao, an indica rice variety

    Get PDF
Agrobacterium-mediated transformation is the most efficient method to transfer gene of interest into the plant genome. However, the transformation efficiency of this method with indica rice varieties is still low and needs to be improved. In this study, the Agrobacterium-mediated method was used to transfer reporter genes into the Nang Thom Cho Dao, an indica rice variety. Different transformation parameters, such as selection to used hygromycin at concentrations of 0, 25, 30, 40, and 50 mg/L, bacterial density, and infected duration, were tested and optimized. The results showed that 30 mg/L of hygromycin was the most appropriate concentration for selecting transgenic callus in Nang Thom Cho Dao. In addition, the highest transformation efficiency of this Nang Thom Cho Dao rice cultivar was observed at the bacterial suspension density OD600nm of 0.1, the infected duration of 20 minutes, and the 3-day co-culture period. The presence and expression of transgenes were confirmed by gus staining and PCR with specific primers for hptII and gus genes. This transformation procedure should be used for further studies in genetic engineering of Nang Thom Cho Dao and other indica rice varieties

    Angiomyofibroblastoma-Like Tumor of the Scrotum

    Get PDF
Various tumors can occur in the scrotum. Of them, angiomyofibroblastoma-like tumors are very rare mesenchymal tumors. Angiomyofibroblastoma-like tumors cannot be easily differentially diagnosed from other malignant tumors invading the male genital tract on the basis of clinical characteristics and imaging study. Therefore, surgical removal and a histopathologic diagnosis must also be performed
