    EFFECT OF NPK FERTILIZER DOSAGES ON SOME NEW VARIETIES OF RICE PLANT (Oryza saliva L.)

    The research was done in KelurahanKaumanKidul, KecamatanSidorejo, Kota Salatiga, from February until June 2008, the type of soil is Latosol, the altitude is 525 metere above sea level. This research was arranged in Split-plot Design. Kinds of varieties as main plot concisted of 3 levels: Pepe, Sintanur and IR 64, and dosages of NPK fertilizer as sub plot consisted 4 levels: 0 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha, 250 kg/ha and 300 kg/ha. In this research Urea fertilizer was still used 200 kg/ha. The datas were analyzed using analysis variance and Least Signiï¬cant Difference Qf5% level. The research showed that kinds of varieties influenced signiï¬cant to high of plant, total amount of bough, amount of productive bough, dry shel of rice plant, dry shel of rice milled weight per sample, but not significant to weight of fresh straw anddry straw, dry shel of rice weight per plot, and weight of 1000 seeds. Dosages of NPKfertilizer influenced signiï¬cant to high of plant, total amount of bough, weight of freshand dry straw, weight of dry shell per sample and per plot, weight of dry rice milled persample and per plot and weight of 1000 seeds. Combined effect from two treatmentswas signiï¬cant to weight of dry shell milled per sample and per plot, and not signiï¬cantto other parameters. The highest yield from this research is 6,417 ton/hc fromtreatment IR 64 variety and 300 kg/ha dosage NPK fertilizer, but statistically not signiï¬cant different from treatment with Sintanur or Pepe varieties and dosage fertilizeris 250 kg/ha. From economics analysis knows that using sintanur and Pepe varietieswith dosage fertilizer 250 kg/ha is more proï¬t than IR 64. Key words: rice plant, varieties, NPK dosages Â

    The result of the research shows that the is to know the length of plant stimulus substance soaking in some coffee chupon grafting model doesn’t influence the coffee seeds growth.The writing of this thesis is based on the research which has been done in June 2012 to October 2012 in Mawar Lor,Jambu Subdistric,Semarang Regency. The research is implemented by using single factor with base pattern of  complete Random Design and 3 times replication. This research uses 1 (one) treatment Factors in twelve combination. The results of this research are: 1) The leght of plant stimulus soaking in some coffee grifting models to coffee seeds growth doesn’t have effects in parameter of plan growth capacity observation (%),the amount of the leaves (sheet), the length of outermost leaf (cm), the width of outermost leaf(cm), and the height of the plant(cm), 2) The best result is on  coffee seeds growth in side grafting  with 2/3 of leaf by 30 minutes soakings

    Maximizing Growth and Yield of Garlic by using Different Sources and Dosages of Nitrogen and Chicken Manure on Andisol Soil

    Low soil fertility is a limiting factor for crop production in general. Increasing the yield of garlic with balanced fertilization is an important key identified, also the right type and dose of fertilization is also a major problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of inorganic fertilizer (nitrogen) and chicken manure doses on the growth and yield of garlic. The experimental design used in this research was a completely randomized design. The first factor was chicken manure, which consists of two levels, i.e., without chicken manure and 40 t/ha of chicken manure. The second factor was the dosage of N fertilizer which consists of twenty levels, ie, no fertilizer, urea with a dose of 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400. 450, 500 kg/ha, ZA with a dose of 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400. 450, 500 kg/ha. The results showed that the combination of urea fertilizer 500 kg/ha and chicken manure 40 tons/ha gave the highest yield of stored dry tubers and was significantly higher than control plots and other treatment combinations. Likewise other growth and yield parameters increased progressively. Therefore, it can be concluded that to increase the yield of garlic in the study area, 500 kg/ha of urea fertilizer and 40 tons/ha of chicken manure are needed. The recommendation is that on Andisol soil for garlic cultivation, it is better to use a combination of 500 kg/ha urea and 40 t/ha chicken manure
