    Inflationary α\alpha-Attractor Models with Singular Derivative of Potential

    A generalization of inflationary α\alpha-attractor models (``polynomial α\alpha-attractor'') was recently proposed by Kallosh and Linde, in which the potential involves logarithmic functions of the inflaton so that the derivative of the potential but not potential itself has a singularity. We find that the models can lead to viable inflationary observables even without the pole in the kinetic term. Also, the generalization with a pole order other than two does not significantly change the functional form of the potential. This allows a systematic analysis of the predictions of this class of models. Our models predict larger spectral index nsn_s and tensor-to-scalar ratio rr than in the polynomial α\alpha-attractor: typically, nsn_s around 0.97--0.98 and rr observable by LiteBIRD. Taking advantage of the relatively large nsn_s, we discuss the modification of the potential to produce primordial black holes as the whole dark matter and gravitational waves induced by curvature perturbations detectable by LISA and BBO/DECIGO, while keeping nsn_s in agreement with the Planck/BICEP/Keck data.Comment: 25 pages, 9 figures, 1 table.     On spin optics for gravitational waves lensed by a rotating object

    We study gravitational lensing of gravitational waves taking into account the spin of a graviton coupled with a dragged spacetime made by a rotating object. We decompose the phase of gravitational waves into helicity-dependent and independent components with spin optics, analyzing waves whose wavelengths are shorter than the curvature radius of a lens object. We analytically confirm that the trajectory of gravitational waves splits depending on the helicity, generating additional time delay and elliptical polarization onto the helicity-independent part. We exemplify monotonic gravitational waves lensed by a Kerr black hole and derive the analytical expressions of corrections in phase and magnification. The corrections are enhanced for longer wavelengths, potentially providing a novel probe of rotational properties of lens objects in low-frequency gravitational-wave observations in the future.Comment: 14 pages, 6 figure

    Path planning for planetary rover using extended elevation map

    This paper describes a path planning method for planetary rovers to search for paths on planetary surfaces. The planetary rover is required to travel safely over a long distance for many days over unfamiliar terrain. Hence it is very important how planetary rovers process sensory information in order to understand the planetary environment and to make decisions based on that information. As a new data structure for informational mapping, an extended elevation map (EEM) has been introduced, which includes the effect of the size of the rover. The proposed path planning can be conducted in such a way as if the rover were a point while the size of the rover is automatically taken into account. The validity of the proposed methods is verified by computer simulations

    Developing Moodle Plugin for Creating Learning Content with Another REST Function Call

    The Moodle REST function calls enables third party applications having access to the Moodle database's through Moodle web services and REST (Representational state transfer) protocols. The access could be as learning content creation. According to Moodle architecture, the learning content creation, need to be placed on Moodle section tables. This is shown, a third party application should make or use the Moodle section when making a course. The 'section' is the most essential component on Moodle. Because, the 'section' contain documents, assignments, quiz for learners. However, some Moodle REST function calls, such as creating the "section" on Moodle courses, have not been implemented in the Moodle system, yet. And for our current development applications, it need to have an access to create complete learning content on section tables. With developing Moodle plugins, possibly create learning content in the Moodle sections, but needed Moodle REST function call to access developed plugin. Therefore, we propose solutions that developed a Moodle plugin to create learning content and solve an unprovided Moodle REST function call by developed another Moodle REST function call. This paper presents our current development to enable creation of learning content from third party application, using the developed Moodle plugin. As a result, with the developed Moodle plugin, success to create learning content on Moodle LMS, and developed another Moodle REST function call

    The use of Lecturer Based Supportive Tools (LBST) as Data Provider for Indonesian Lecturer Administrative Problems

    Recently, Indonesia has more than 3.000 Higher Education Institutions, 300.000 lecturers, and 7.8 million higher education students. To handle those numerous stakeholders, Directorate General Higher Education Indonesia Government (DGHEI - as the regulator of higher education institutions) has been developed several websites as Information Systems (IS). The developed information system was used to manage information that attached on the stakeholders entities. Those information entities were projected for open public data access. In other hand, the Information Systems that offered by DGHEI are not only single information system. But also several information system that not integrated yet become single portal. Moreover, DGHEI regulates lecturers to upload their entities such as portfolios and other supporting documents developed IS's. However, this will be cause a time consuming, repetition activities and data redundant. Those problems are called administrative problems. In the meantime, our current development Lecturer Based Supportive Tool (LBST) has been developed as lecturer assistance to enrich learning materials on limited bandwidth condition. This paper discusses the use of LBST as Data Provider to solve the administrative problems that has been occurred in Indonesia higher education environments. Instead of uploading into DGHEI information systems, lecturers eager to use LBST as an alternative systems that offered by DGHEI. As a result, LBST could be driven into data provider that provides information that needed by DGHEI or other data customers

    Direct Patterning of Ceramic Circuit Board with Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser

    Direct patterning of copper coated ceramic circuit board is experimentally investigated with Q-switched Nd:YAG laser in order to shorten the time of the trial manufacture of electronic circuit board and to adapt the flexible design change. It is pointed out that the fast direct patterning the speed of which reaches about 100 mm/s is possible if the repetition frequency and the average power are selected properly. Furthermore cutting off and/or drilling of ceramic board are also possible under the condition that the repetition frequency is less than 3kHz. This technique makes it possible the mask1ess patterning of ceramic circuit board which has been widely used recently in place of conventional glass-epoxy or phenolic resin circuit board, and it leads to the shorter time limit of delivery as compared with the conventional end-milling method

    Control technique for planetary rover

    Beginning next century, several schemes for sending a planetary rover to the moon or Mars are being planned. As part of the development program, autonomous navigation technology is being studied to allow the rover the ability to move autonomously over a long range of unknown planetary surface. In the previous study, we ran the autonomous navigation experiment on an outdoor test terrain by using a rover test-bed that was controlled by a conventional sense-plan-act method. In some cases during the experiment, a problem occurred with the rover moving into untraversable areas. To improve this situation, a new control technique has been developed that gives the rover the ability of reacting to the outputs of the proximity sensors, a reaction behavior if you will. We have developed a new rover test-bed system on which an autonomous navigation experiment was performed using the newly developed control technique. In this outdoor experiment, the new control technique effectively produced the control command for the rover to avoid obstacles and be guided to the goal point safely

    MOODLE XML TO IMS QTI ASSESSMENT TEST PORTABILITY ON LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

    Learning Management Systems (i.e. LMS) is one of the most popular solutions towards the e-Learning objective in different universities all around the world, where this environments are used to not only deliver contents but to perform assessments, tests and other tasks related to learning. Although, there are popular LMS such as Moodle, and more developed, such as Chamilo, there is no assessment/test portability among their LMS. Each assessment export formats make difficult to transfer well done Moodle-based online courses into young platforms such as Chamilo. The purpose of this paper is to address this portability issue and to show possibility of exporting Moodle assessment data (i.e. Moodle XML), into a more standardized format, which is IMS Question & Test Interoperability (IMS QTI). That can be used not only in Chamilo, but also other LMSs globally. The present paper shows the first approach towards a more global portability tool in which not only assessments but the whole structure of the course could be easily exported to other platforms.
