GLOBALIZATION AND EDUCATION

Globalisation is a complex fhenomenon from the economic, political and cultural point of view. Globalisation that was revealed by the fact of multi factors, included many phenomena in its own dimension. Globalisation shows, on the one hand locality, on the other hand globality. It also presents uniformity and multiplicity. With these characteristics it reveals some clear results related to education; and faces us to a new phenomenon of education that has been globalised. Some means of education such as targets, practices, etc. have been out lined with regard to global understanding.</p

Vaccination in Individuals with Multiple Sclerosis – Part I

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune and demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. It is a chronic disease, and in the evaluation of all other health and vital processes, decisions should be made by considering the disease process and the drugs used by the patient. Since vaccination can be performed at every stage of life, from childhood to adulthood, immune system activity, except where it is characteristic of the vaccine, should be reviewed in patients with MS. In this review, the applications of different vaccines in individuals with MS are discussed in two separate sections

Kayseri Göçmen Uygur Topluluğunda Doğum, Evlenme, Ölümle İlgili İnanç ve Ritüeller

İnsan hayatı, önemli yaşam evrelerine ayrılmıştır. Bireyi ilgilendirmelerine karşın bu evreler, bir takım ritüellerle, toplumsal olma kapasitesine sahip olurlar. Geçiş/giriş ritüelleri olarak sınıflandırılan bu ritüeller, bireyin bir statüden bir başka statüye geçişini ve yeni statüye kabul edilişini, standartlaşmış davranışlarla ve sembolik bir anlam dünyası ile dile getirirler.Ritüeller, toplumsal gerçekliğe uygun olarak değişirler. Ancak değişim bazı dönemlerde görece daha hızlı olabilmektedir. Göç bu süreci etkileyen faktörlerden biridir. Göçmenlerin içine geldikleri toplumlarla göçmen grupların etkileşimleri kültürel bağlamda yeni süreçlerin oluşmasına neden olur.Bu çalışma, Doğu Türkistan’dan Afganistan’a, Afganistan’dan da Türkiye’ye göç etmek zorunda kalan ve Kayseri’ye yerleşen Uygur Türklerinin doğum, evlenme, ölümle ilgili inanış ve uygulamalarını konu etmektedir. Araştırma verileri mülakat ve katılımlı gözlem teknikleriyle elde edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Human life’s divide to important different phases. Although these phrases attract individual’s life space, these phases are related to some rituals into social life. Symbolic rituals manage the statutes; its passing orders, its acceptance conditions and these standardized behaviours constitutes the area of imagined symbolic forms of mean.Rituals are changed according to social reality. But these changes can be different evolution rates in some eras. Migration is one of the factors that affect this process. The interaction between migrant culture and local culture develops new cultural processes in the culture.This study is subject to set the belief and ritual heritages of birth, marriage, death in Uighur Turks that are forced to migration from East Turkestan and established in Kayseri.
