Spectral Weights, d-wave Pairing Amplitudes, and Particle-hole Tunneling Asymmetry of a Strongly Correlated Superconductor
The spectral weights (SW's) for adding and removing an electron of the
Gutzwiller projected d-wave superconducting (SC) state of the t-J-type models
are studied numerically on finite lattices. Restrict to the uniform system but
treat exactly the strong correlation between electrons, we show that the
product of weights is equal to the pairing amplitude squared, same as in the
weakly coupled case. In addition, we derive a rigorous relation of SW with
doping in the electron doped system and obtain particle-hole asymmetry of the
conductance-proportional quantity within the SC gap energy and, also, the
anti-correlation between gap sizes and peak heights observed in tunneling
spectroscopy on high Tc cuprates.Comment: 4 Revtex pages and 4 .eps figures. Published versio
Design of Plasma Generator Driven by High-frequency High-voltage Power Supply
In this research, a high-frequency high-voltage power supply designed for plasma generator is presented. The powersupply mainly consists of a series resonant converter with a high-frequency high-voltage boost transformer. Due to theindispensable high-voltage inheritance in the operation of plasma generator, the analysis of transformer needconsidering not only winding resistance, leakage inductance, magnetizing inductance, and core-loss resistance, butalso parasitic capacitance resulted from the insulation wrappings on the high-voltage side. This research exhibits asimple approach to measuring equivalent circuit parameters of the high-frequency, high-voltage transformer with straycapacitance being introduced into the conventional modeling. The proposed modeling scheme provides not only aprecise measurement procedure but also effective design information for series-load resonant converter. The plasmadischarging plate is designed as part of the electric circuit in the series load-resonant converter and the circuit modelof the plasma discharging plate is also conducted as well. Thus, the overall model of the high-voltage plasmagenerator is built and the designing procedures for appropriate selections of the corresponding resonant-circuitparameters can be established. Finally, a high-voltage plasma generator with 220V, 60Hz, and 1kW input, along witha 22 kHz and over 8kV output, is realized and implemented
Information-Theoretic Measure of Genuine Multi-Qubit Entanglement
We consider pure quantum states of N qubits and study the genuine N-qubit
entanglement that is shared among all the N qubits. We introduce an
information-theoretic measure of genuine N-qubit entanglement based on
bipartite partitions. When N is an even number, this measure is presented in a
simple formula, which depends only on the purities of the partially reduced
density matrices. It can be easily computed theoretically and measured
experimentally. When N is an odd number, the measure can also be obtained in
principle.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figure
A General SU(2) Formulation for Quantum Searching with Certainty
A general quantum search algorithm with arbitrary unitary transformations and
an arbitrary initial state is considered in this work. To serach a marked state
with certainty, we have derived, using an SU(2) representation: (1) the
matching condition relating the phase rotations in the algorithm, (2) a concise
formula for evaluating the required number of iterations for the search, and
(3) the final state after the search, with a phase angle in its amplitude of
unity modulus. Moreover, the optimal choices and modifications of the phase
angles in the Grover kernel is also studied.Comment: 8 pages, 2 figure
Periodic Anderson model with electron-phonon correlated conduction band
This paper reports dynamical mean field calculations for the periodic
Anderson model in which the conduction band is coupled to phonons. Motivated in
part by recent attention to the role of phonons in the -
transition in Ce, this model yields a rich and unexpected phase diagram which
is of intrinsic interest. Specifically, above a critical value of the
electron-phonon interaction, a first order transition with two coexisting
phases develops in the temperature-hybridization plane, which terminates at a
second order critical point. The coexisting phases display the familiar Kondo
screened and local moment character, yet they also exhibit pronounced polaronic
and bipolaronic properties, respectively.Comment: 4 pages, 6 figure
A General Phase Matching Condition for Quantum Searching Algorithm
A general consideration on the phase rotations in quantum searching algorithm
is taken in this work. As four phase rotations on the initial state, the marked
states, and the states orthogonal to them are taken account, we deduce a phase
matching condition for a successful search. The optimal options for these phase
are obtained consequently.Comment: 3 pages, 3 figure
