ISIS fighters’ hagiographies. Comments on migration to the areas occupied by the so-called Islamic state

    No full text
Ważnym elementem były ebooki wydane w 2013 i 2014 roku, opowiadające o bohaterstwie i pięknej śmierci zagranicznych bojowników ISIS. The article deals with some aspects of migration to areas occupied by so-called Islamic State (ISIS). The organization conducted a very diverse information and propaganda campaign aimed at encouraging potential fighters to fight under its banner. An important element were ebooks issued in 2013 and 2014, telling about the heroism and beautiful death of foreign ISIS fighters. As part of the research described in the article, these publications have been given a multi-aspect analysis that allowed to identify the most common motifs in the biography and features of the ISIS fighter. The research metod used here is the analysis of the content, the methodological framework determined the concepts of sociology - in particular the sociology of religion and symbolic interactionism

Experimental analysis of gravitational heat pipe using R507 as a working fluid

    No full text
The paper presents possibility of using R507 as a working fluid in gravitational heat pipe. The outcome of experimental analysis are compared to the results obtained with mathematical model. The simulations allow to calculate fluid and wall temperatures in the thermosyphon. The model equations contain the formulas for boiling and condensing heat transfer coefficients. Proposed new model is in good agreement with real operation of the device, especially at the steady state. There are discrepancies during the start-up process, but the differences between the results obtained by the model and experiments do not exceed 5% at the steady state. The thermal efficiency of the thermosyphon is also determined as 0.63

Probabilistic cytoarchitectonic map of Area Fo6 (OFC) (v2.1)

    No full text
This dataset contains the distinct architectonic Area Fo6 (OFC) in the MNI Colin 27 and MNI ICBM 152 reference spaces. As part of the JuBrain atlas, the area was identified using cytoarchitectonic analysis on cell-body-stained histological sections of 10 human postmortem brains obtained from the body donor program of the University of Düsseldorf. Subsequently the results of the cytoarchitectonic analysis are mapped to the MNI Colin 27 and MNI ICBM 152 reference spaces where each voxel is assigned with the probability to belong to Area Fo6 (OFC). The probability map of Area Fo6 (OFC) are provided in the NifTi format for each brain reference space and hemisphere. The JuBrain atlas relies on a modular, flexible and adaptive framework containing workflows to create the probabilistic brain maps for these structures. Note that methodological improvements and integration of new brain structures may lead to small deviations in earlier released datasets
