    Pelaksanaan Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) merupakan salah satu mata kuliah yang wajib ditempuh oleh mahasiswa S1 selama kurang lebih satu bulan terhitung dari tanggal 10 Agustus 2015 sampai tanggal 14 september 2015 sebagai salah satu syarat dalam menyelesaikan gelar sebagai sarjana pendidikan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Visi dari Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan adalah wahana pembentukan calon guru atau tenaga kependidikan yang profesional. Pelaksanaan KKN-PPL bertempat di SMA EL SHADAI Magelang, Jl. A. Yani 28 Magelang, Kecamatan Magelang Tengah, Kota Magelang. Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) merupakan kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Kegiatan PPL umumnya mencakup kegiatan belajar mengajar, membuat persiapan berupa Administrasi Guru (RPP, Program semester, Program Tahunan, dll) pengembangan media dan kegiatan lain yang berkaitan tentang proses belajar mengajar. Kegiatan PPL memberikan pengalaman luas kepada mahasiswa praktikan dalam bagaimana cara mengajar dengan berbagai macam karakter siswa, berinteraksi dengan pihak sekolah, mengabdi untuk kepentingan pendidikan yang secara langsung dapat dirasakan oleh mahasiswa. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PPL juga tidak akan terlepas dari berbagai kendala dan hambatan. Hambatan tersebut tentu dapat diatasi dengan bekerja keras, mau menerima masukan dari orang lain dan keinginan untuk memperbaiki diri

    Electric field induced localization phenomena in a ladder network with superlattice configuration: Effect of backbone environment

    Electric field induced localization properties of a tight-binding ladder network in presence of backbone sites are investigated. Based on Green's function formalism we numerically calculate two-terminal transport together with density of states for different arrangements of atomic sites in the ladder and its backbone. Our results lead to a possibility of getting multiple mobility edges which essentially plays a switching action between a completely opaque to fully or partly conducting region upon the variation of system Fermi energy, and thus, support in fabricating mesoscopic or DNA-based switching devices.Comment: 9 pages, 6 figure

    A Profile of Knee Injuries Suffered by Australian Army Reserve Soldiers

    Despite having to perform the same occupational tasks as full-time soldiers, part-time soldiers may have lower levels of physical conditioning and report higher rates of injury per unit exposure to active service. The purpose of this study was to profile the leading body site of injury occurring in part-time soldiers to inform injury prevention strategies. Injury data from the Australian Army Reserve (ARES) spanning a two-year period were obtained from the Department of Defence Workplace Health, Safety, Compensation and Reporting database pertaining to locations, nature, mechanisms, and the activity being performed at the time of injury. Among the 1434 injuries reported by ARES personnel, the knee was the most common injury site (n = 228, 16%). Soft tissue injury due to trauma or unknown causes was the most common nature of knee injury (n = 177, 78%). Combat training was the most common activity being performed when soft tissue injuries occurred at the knee (n = 73, 42%), with physical training the second most common (n = 51, 30%), due to muscular stress (n = 36, 71%) and falls (n = 8, 16%). Targeted intrinsic and extrinsic approaches to injury minimization strategies for soft tissue knee injuries during combat and physical training should be designed

    A comparison of ultraviolet sensitivities in universal, nonuniversal, and split extra dimensional models

    We discuss the origin of ultraviolet sensitivity in extra dimensional theories, and compare and contrast the cutoff dependences in universal, nonuniversal and split five dimensional models. While the gauge bosons and scalars are in the five dimensional bulk in all scenarios, the locations of the fermions are different in different cases. In the universal model all fermions can travel in the bulk, in the nonuniversal case they are all confined at the brane, while in the split scenario some are in the bulk and some are in the brane.
