The article is concerned with an analysis of best practices undertaken by the Jagiellonian University in Kraków in terms of providing undergraduate students and PhD students with safety, security and anti-discrimination. A brief analysis of law and regulations preceded a discussion of the institutional arrangements for reporting such problems, as well as psychological support for members of the academic community. The results of the cyclic research project on sense of security with special attention to the phenomenon of discrimination were presented. The article contains examples of educational and promotional activities highlighting the role of participation in international anti-violence campaign

Best practices of the Jagiellonian University in terms of safety and discrimination prevention

W artykule dokonano analizy dobrych praktyk Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego w Krakowie w zakresie zapewniania bezpieczeństwa i przeciwdziałania dyskryminacji studentów i doktorantów. Krótka analiza przepisów poprzedziła omówienie rozwiązań instytucjonalnych służących zgłaszaniu problemów w tej sferze, jak również wsparciu psychologicznemu członków społeczności akademickiej.
