This study presents that the development of indexes for the performance evaluation of e-SCM should be given more priority by companies giving weights to each index. Deductive research is used for the development of evaluation items and AHP method for the development of weights of the items.

The Dendritic magnetic avalanches in carbon-free MgB thin films with and without a deposited Au layer
From the magneto optics images (MOI), the dendritic magnetic avalanche is
known to appear dominantly for thin films of the newly discovered MgB. To
clarify the origin of this phenomenon, we studied in detail the MOI of
carbon-free MgB thin films with and without a deposited gold layer. The MOI
indicated carbon contamination was not the main source of the avalanche. The
MOI clearly showed that the deposition of metallic gold deposition on top of a
MgB thin film improved its thermal stability and suppressed the sudden
appearance of the dendritic flux avalanche. This is consistent with the
previous observation of flux noise in the magnetization.Comment: 9 pages, 4 figeure
NKT cells promote antibody-induced joint inflammation by suppressing transforming growth factor β1 production
Although NKT cells has been known to exert protective roles in the development of autoimmune diseases, the functional roles of NKT cells in the downstream events of antibody-induced joint inflammation remain unknown. Thus, we explored the functional roles of NKT cells in antibody-induced arthritis using the K/BxN serum transfer model. NKT cell–deficient mice were resistant to the development of arthritis, and wild-type mice administrated with α-galactosyl ceramide, a potent NKT cell activator, aggravated arthritis. In CD1d−/− mice, transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 was found to be elevated in joint tissues, and the blockade of TGF-β1 using neutralizing monoclonal antibodies restored arthritis. The administration of recombinant TGF-β1 into C57BL/6 mice reduced joint inflammation. Moreover, the adoptive transfer of NKT cells into CD1d−/− mice restored arthritis and reduced TGF-β1 production. In vitro assay demonstrated that interleukin (IL)-4 and interferon (IFN)-γ were involved in suppressing TGF-β1 production in joint cells. The adoptive transfer of NKT cells from IL-4−/− or IFN-γ−/− mice did not reverse arthritis and TGF-β1 production in CD1d−/− mice. In conclusion, NKT cells producing IL-4 and IFN-γ play a role in immune complex–induced joint inflammation by regulating TGF-β1
Dietary Intake and Serum Levels of Iron in Relation to Oxidative Stress in Breast Cancer Patients
Iron may induce oxidative stress via production of reactive oxygen species, facilitating mammary carcinogenesis. This study investigated the role of iron in relation to oxidative stress as a potential risk factor in the development of breast cancer (BC). BC patients (n = 121) and healthy age-matched controls (n = 149) were entered into the study. Iron and antioxidant vitamins intakes were estimated using a quantitative food frequency questionnaire. Thirty one subjects from each group provided blood samples for measurement of serum iron, plasma malondialdehyde (MDA) and ferric reducing ability of plasma (FRAP). Total and non-heme iron intake of BC patients were lower than those of the controls. However, the serum iron level was significantly higher in BC patients. Plasma MDA levels were also significantly higher in BC patients whereas no significant difference in FRAP values were observed between the two groups. Log-transformed serum iron concentration showed no significant correlation with MDA or FRAP. These results suggest that serum iron overload may be a breast cancer risk factor possibly due to increased oxidative stress
Flux Dendrites of Opposite Polarity in Superconducting MgB rings observed with magneto-optical imaging
Magneto-optical imaging was used to observe flux dendrites with opposite
polarities simultaneously penetrate superconducting, ring-shaped MgB films.
By applying a perpendicular magnetic field, branching dendritic structures
nucleate at the outer edge and abruptly propagate deep into the rings. When
these structures reach close to the inner edge, where flux with opposite
polarity has penetrated the superconductor, they occasionally trigger anti-flux
dendrites. These anti-dendrites do not branch, but instead trace the triggering
dendrite in the backward direction. Two trigger mechanisms, a non-local
magnetic and a local thermal, are considered as possible explanations for this
unexpected behaviour. Increasing the applied field further, the rings are
perforated by dendrites which carry flux to the center hole. Repeated
perforations lead to a reversed field profile and new features of dendrite

Two-gap and paramagnetic pair-breaking effects on upper critical field of SmFeAsO and SmFeAsOF single crystals
We investigated the temperature dependence of the upper critical field
[] of fluorine-free SmFeAsO and fluorine-doped
SmFeAsOF single crystals by measuring the resistive transition
in low static magnetic fields and in pulsed fields up to 60 T. Both crystals
show that 's along the c axis [] and in an -planar
direction [] exhibit a linear and a sublinear increase,
respectively, with decreasing temperature below the superconducting transition.
's in both directions deviate from the conventional one-gap
Werthamer-Helfand-Hohenberg theoretical prediction at low temperatures. A
two-gap nature and the paramagnetic pair-breaking effect are shown to be

Real-Time Monitoring of Neural Differentiation of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells by Electric Cell-Substrate Impedance Sensing
Stem cells are useful for cell replacement therapy. Stem cell differentiation must be monitored thoroughly and precisely prior to transplantation. In this study we evaluated the usefulness of electric cell-substrate impedance sensing (ECIS) for in vitro real-time monitoring of neural differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs). We cultured hMSCs in neural
differentiation media (NDM) for 6 days and examined the time-course of impedance changes with an ECIS array. We also
monitored the expression of markers for neural differentiation, total cell count, and cell cycle profiles. Cellular expression of
neuron and oligodendrocyte markers increased. The resistance value of cells cultured in NDM was automatically measured in real-time
and found to increase much more slowly over time compared to cells cultured in non-differentiation media. The relatively slow
resistance changes observed in differentiating MSCs were determined to be due to their lower growth capacity achieved by
induction of cell cycle arrest in G0/G1. Overall results suggest that the relatively slow change in resistance values measured by
ECIS method can be used as a parameter for slowly growing neural-differentiating cells. However, to enhance the competence
of ECIS for in vitro real-time monitoring of neural differentiation of MSCs, more elaborate studies are needed
