General mapping of one-dimensional non-Hermitian mosaic models to non-mosaic counterparts: Mobility edges and Lyapunov exponents
We establish a general mapping from one-dimensional non-Hermitian mosaic
models to their non-mosaic counterparts. This mapping can give rise to mobility
edges and even Lyapunov exponents in the mosaic models if critical points of
localization or Lyapunov exponents of localized states in the corresponding
non-mosaic models have already been analytically solved. To demonstrate the
validity of this mapping, we apply it to two non-Hermitian localization models:
an Aubry-Andr\'e-like model with nonreciprocal hopping and complex
quasiperiodic potentials, and the Ganeshan-Pixley-Das Sarma model with
nonreciprocal hopping. We successfully obtain the mobility edges and Lyapunov
exponents in their mosaic models. This general mapping may catalyze further
studies on mobility edges, Lyapunov exponents, and other significant quantities
pertaining to localization in non-Hermitian mosaic models.Comment: 9 pages, 2 figure

Separate density and viscosity measurements of unknown liquid using quartz crystal microbalance
Aqueous liquids have a wide range of applications in many fields. Basic physical properties like the density and the viscosity have great impacts on the functionalities of a given ionic liquid. For the millions kinds of existing liquids, only a few have been systematically measured with the density and the viscosity using traditional methods. However, these methods are limited to measure the density and the viscosity of an ionic liquid simultaneously especially in processing micro sample volumes. To meet this challenge, we present a new theoretical model and a novel method to separate density and viscosity measurements with single quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) in this work. The agreement of experimental results and theocratical calculations shows that the QCM is capable to measure the density and the viscosity of ionic liquid
Helicobacter pylori infection is associated with decreased serum levels of high density lipoprotein, but not with the severity of coronary atherosclerosis
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Objective</p> <p>The objective of this survey was to study the association between <it>Helicobacter pylori </it>infection and the severity of coronary atherosclerosis.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>The study population consisted of 961 consecutive patients (711 males and 250 females) who underwent coronary angiography for suspected or known coronary atherosclerosis. The patients' body mass index, blood pressure, the blood lipid, blood glucose, leukocyte count (10<sup>9</sup>/L), neutrophil count (10<sup>9</sup>/L), and Helicobacter <it>pylori</it>-specific IgG antibodies were performed. Coronary angiograms were scored according to vessel score and Gensini's score.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>A significant association between <it>H. pylori </it>infection and coronary atherosclerosis as well as its severity was not find in this cross section study (<it>p </it>= 0.858). And, the level distribution of vessel score (<it>p </it>= 0.906) and Gensini's score (<it>p </it>= 0.905) were similar in the seropositivity group and seronegativity group of Helicobacter <it>pylori </it>infection. However, the level of fasting high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (mmol/L) (<it>p </it>= 0.013) was significantly lower in the seropositivity group than that in the seronegativity group of Helicobacter <it>pylori </it>infection.</p> <p>Conclusions</p> <p>In conclusion, in the present study, a significantly correlation between Helicobacter <it>pylori </it>seropositivity and angiographically evaluated severity of atherosclerosis was not find. And, the present study showed a good correlation between Helicobacter <it>pylori </it>infection and decreased HDL cholesterol. However, the exact mechanisms need further study.</p
L-P Perturbation Solution of Nonlinear Free Vibration of Prestressed Orthotropic Membrane in Large Amplitude
This paper reviewed the research on the nonlinear free vibration of pre-stressed orthotropic membrane, which is commonly applied in building membrane structures. We applied the L-P perturbation method to solve the governing equations of large amplitude nonlinear free vibration of rectangular orthotropic membranes and obtained a simple approximate analytical solution of the frequency and displacement function of large amplitude nonlinear free vibration of rectangular membrane with four edges simply supported. By giving computational examples, we compared and analyzed the frequency results. In addition, vibration mode of the membrane and displacement and time curve of each feature point on the membrane surface were analyzed in the computational example. Results obtained from this paper provide a simple and convenient method to calculate the frequency and lateral displacement of nonlinear free vibration of rectangular orthotropic membranes in large amplitude. Meanwhile, the results provide some theoretical basis for solving the response of membrane structures under dynamic loads and provide some computational basis for the vibration control and dynamic design of building membrane structures
