The aim of this paper is presents the results of an investigation, using the social network analysis (SNA), to understand how the relationships between the subjects involved directly and/or indirectly in a science outreach programme were established. The science outreach programme, linked to an university of Paraná, had used Paulo Freire's pedagogy in order to promote the collective construction of knowledge, through conversation circles and technical training workshops. The programme' activities were followed for nine months and were analyzed in two stages: the first stage deals with the way of  structuring the programme, and the final stage is concerned with the relationships between the social actors - teachers, students and community members. Using SNA, it was possible to identify the main actors, as well as the relationships established between them. It was also noticed that the programme structuring model had promoted interactions between the actors, allowing the dissemination of information about Food and Nutritional Sovereignty and Security
