The effect of Pressure in Higher Dimensional Quasi-Spherical Gravitational Collapse

    Get PDF
We study gravitational collapse in higher dimensional quasi-spherical Szekeres space-time for matter with anisotropic pressure. Both local and global visibility of central curvature singularity has been studied and it is found that with proper choice of initial data it is possible to show the validity of CCC for six and higher dimensions. Also the role of pressure in the collapsing process has been discussed.Comment: 11 pages, 6 figures, RevTeX styl

Common Fixed Points of Weakly Reciprocally Continuous Maps using a Gauge Function

The aim of the present paper is to obtain a common fixed point theorem by employing the recently introduced notion of weak reciprocal continuity. We demonstrate that weak reciprocal continuity ensures the existence of fixed points under contractive conditions which otherwise do not ensure the existence of fixed points. Our result generalize and extend several well-known fixed point theorems due to Boyd and Wong (1969), Jungck(1976), Pant (1994) and Pathak et al (1997). Keywords: Fixed point theorems, compatible maps, A-compatible maps, T-compatible maps, reciprocal continuity, weak reciprocal continuit

Collapse Dynamics of a Star of Dark Matter and Dark Energy

    Get PDF
In this work, we study the collapse dynamics of an inhomogeneous spherically symmetric star made of dark matter (DM) and dark energy (DE). The dark matter is taken in the form of a dust cloud while anisotropic fluid is chosen as the candidate for dark energy. It is investigated how dark energy modifies the collapsing process and is examined whether dark energy has any effect on the Cosmic Censorship Conjecture. The collapsing star is assumed to be of finite radius and the space time is divided into three distinct regions Σ\Sigma and V±V^{\pm}, where Σ\Sigma represents the boundary of the star and V−(V+)V^{-}(V^{+}) denotes the interior (exterior) of the star. The junction conditions for matching V±V^{\pm} over Σ\Sigma are specified. Role of Dark energy in the formation of apparent horizon is studied and central singularity is analyzed.Comment: 13 page

Systematic review of Industry 5.0 from main aspects to the execution status

    Get PDF
Purpose: The main aim of this study is to review different aspects of Industry 5.0 (I5.0) to foster this novel aspect of industrial sustainability. The study makes a comprehensive study to explore the implementation status of I5.0 in industries, key technologies, adoption level in different nations, barriers to I5.0 adoption together with mitigation actions. Methodology: To do a systematic study of the literature authors have used preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis (PRISMA) methodology to extract articles related to the field of the study. Findings: It has been found that academic literature on the I5.0 is continuously growing as the wheel of time is running. Most of the studies on I5.0 are conceptual-based, and manufacturing and medical industries are the flag bearer in the adoption of this novel aspect. Further, due to I5.0's infancy, many organizations face difficulty to adopt the same due to financial burden, resistive nature, a well-designed standard for cyber-physical systems, and an effective mechanism for human-robot collaboration. Further study also provides avenues for future research in terms of the identification of collaborative mechanisms between machines and wells, the establishment of different standards for comparison, development of I5.0-enabled models for different industrial domains. The study also provides concrete measures for mapping the I5.0 technologies with Sustainable development goals (SDGs). Originality: The study is of the first kind that reviews different facets of I5.0in conjunction with Kazien’s measures along with application areas and provides avenues for future research to improve an organization's environmental and social sustainability

Naked Singularities in Higher Dimensional Szekeres Space-time

In this paper we study the quasi-spherical gravitational collapse of (n+2) dimensional Szekeres space-time. The nature of the central shell focusing singularity so formed is analyzed by studying both the radial null and time-like geodesic originated from it. We follow the approach of Barve et al to analyze the null geodesic and find naked singularity in different situations.Comment: 11 Latex Pages, 4 figures, RevTex styl

Intracytoplasmic type A particles from mammary tumours and leukaemias of strain ICRC mice.

The ovarian-hormone-induced leukaemias of strain ICRC mice, with an abundance of intracytoplasmic type A particles in primary as well as transplanted lesions, were used to study morphological, biophysical, immunological and structural characteristics of type A particles. Mammary tumours of strains ICRC and C3H(Jax) were also used as sources for type A particles. The purified virions banded at the density of 1.20 g/ml in 12--60% linear sucrose-density gradient when subjected to spinning at 113,000 g for 4 h. The SDS-polyacrylamide-gel electrophoresis of type A particles from mammary tumours and leukaemias reproducibly resolved at least 8 polypeptides, 2 of these 54,000 and 24,000 dalton proteins, showing variable expression. Type A particles and B particles, despite the fact that each had a distinct polypeptide pattern, showed common antigens with different electrophoretic mobilities. Proteins of 24,000, 18,000 and 12,000 daltons from B particles were found to be antigenically related to those from type A particles. The bioassay studies carried out with purified A particles showed that 2/7 males of strain ICRC and 1/6 females of strain DBA-MTI developed leukaemias, as against none in the controls, when inoculated between the ages of 1-7 days. Spleen tumour and cervical tumour were seen in one female each of strain DBA-MTI
