On the characteristics of emulsion chamber family events produced in low heights

The uncertainty of the primary cosmic ray composition at 10 to the 14th power -10 to the 16th power eV is well known to make the study of the nuclear interaction mechanism more difficult. Experimentally considering, if one can identify effectively the family events which are produced in low heights, then an event sample induced by primary protons might be able to be separated. It is undoubtedly very meaningful. In this paper an attempt is made to simulate the family events under the condition of mountain emulsion chamber experiments with a reasonable model. The aim is to search for the dependence of some experimentally observable quantities to the interaction height

Analytical expressions for greybody factor and dynamic evolution for scalar field in Ho\v{r}ava-Lifshitz black hole

We investigate the propagation and evolution for a massless scalar field in the background of λ=1/2\lambda=1/2 Ho\v{r}ava-Lifshitz black hole with the condition of detailed balance. We fortunately obtain an exact solution for the Klein-Gordon equation. Then, we find an analytical expression for the greybody factor which is valid for any frequency; and also exactly show that the perturbation decays without any oscillation. All of these can help us to understand more about the Ho\v{r}ava-Lifshitz gravity.Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures, Accepted for publication in PR

Two Photon Transition Form Factor of cˉc\bar{c}c Quarkonia

The two photon transition of cˉc\bar{c}c quarkonia are studied within a covariant approach based on the consistent truncation scheme of the quantum chromodynamics Dyson-Schwinger equation for the quark propagator and the Bethe--Salpeter equation for the mesons. We find the decay widths of ηcγγ\eta_{c}^{} \to \gamma\gamma and χc0,2γγ\chi_{c0,2}^{} \to \gamma\gamma in good agreement with experimental data. The obtained transition form factor of ηcγγ\eta_{c}^{} \to \gamma\gamma^{\ast} for a wide range of space-like photon momentum transfer squared is also in agreement with the experimental findings of the BABAR experiment. As a by-product, the decay widths of ηb,χb0,2γγ\eta_{b}^{},\chi_{b0,2}^{} \to \gamma\gamma and the transition form factor of ηb,χc0,b0γγ\eta_{b}^{}, \chi_{c0,b0}^{} \to\gamma\gamma^{\ast} are predicted, which await for experimental test
