Poly[[penta­aqua­(μ4-pyridine-2,4,6-tri­carboxyl­ato)(μ3-pyridine-2,4,6-tri­carboxyl­ato)disamarium(III)] mono­hydrate]

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, {[Sm2(C8H2NO6)2(H2O)5]·H2O}n, contains two independent SmIII ions, two pyridine-2,4,6-tricarboxyl­ate (ptc) ligands, five aqua ligands and one lattice water mol­ecule. One SmIII ion is nine-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from the three ptc ligands and three aqua ligands in a distorted monocapped square antiprismatic geometry, and the other is eight-coordinated by one N and five O atoms from three ptc ligands and two aqua ligands in a 4,4′-bicapped trigonal anti­prismatic geometry. The ptc ligands brigde the SmIII ions into a three-dimensional polymeric framework. Extensive O—H⋯O hydrogen bonding is observed in the crystal structure

Correlation between periostin and SNCG and esophageal cancer invasion, infiltration and apoptosis

AbstractObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between periostin and SNCG and esophageal cancer invasion, infiltration and apoptosis.MethodsA total of 78 cases esophageal surgical resection specimens were collected, expression of periostin and SNCG in esophageal cancer were detected. Effect of periostin and SNCG in esophageal carcinoma invasion and infiltration was analyzed.ResultsThe upregulated rate of periostin had significant difference in esophageal cancer tissues (39.74%), adjacent tissues (17.86%) and normal tissues (0.00%); The positive expression rates of SNCG had significant difference in esophageal cancer tissues (61.54%), adjacent tissues (32.14%) and normal tissues (1.96%); The upregulated rate of periostin had a significant correlation with lymph node metastasis, adventitia invasion, TNM stage; The positive expression rates of SNCG had a significant correlation with differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis, adventitia invasion, TNM stage; Apoptosis index of the positive of expression of SNCG of esophageal cancer tissue (4.541±2.267) was significantly lower than that of the negative expression (7.316±2.582) (P<0.05).ConclusionsSNCG may play an important role in invasion, infiltration and apoptosis of esophageal cancer and serve as target spots in the targeted therapy of esophageal cancer

Intuitive Multilingual Audio-Visual Speech Recognition with a Single-Trained Model

We present a novel approach to multilingual audio-visual speech recognition tasks by introducing a single model on a multilingual dataset. Motivated by a human cognitive system where humans can intuitively distinguish different languages without any conscious effort or guidance, we propose a model that can capture which language is given as an input speech by distinguishing the inherent similarities and differences between languages. To do so, we design a prompt fine-tuning technique into the largely pre-trained audio-visual representation model so that the network can recognize the language class as well as the speech with the corresponding language. Our work contributes to developing robust and efficient multilingual audio-visual speech recognition systems, reducing the need for language-specific models.Comment: EMNLP 2023 Finding

Advance in high-range water-reducing admixture revolutionizes the workability and constructability of conventional vibrated concrete as well as self-consolidating concrete. Its need from construction fields has increased, and consequently a variety of new-type polycarboxylates, base polymers for the admixture, are being formulated in these days. Synthesizing new polymers needs a quick, but reliable, test to evaluate its performance on concrete. The test is also asked for selecting the best applicable brand of them before a test concrete will be mixed. This paper proposes a channel flow test and its usage for the purpose. The proposed procedure for the test includes the mix proportion of a test mortar, the test method, and rheological interpretation of the test results.ope
