High-Speed Railway Tunnel Hood: Seismic Dynamic Characteristic Analysis

    Get PDF
When a high‐speed train is passing through a tunnel, micro‐compression wave may be created at the tunnel exit, which will affect the environment around the railway line. Setting hood at tunnel entrance is one of the efficacious ways for solving this problem. While in an earthquake region, in addition to consideration of controlling micro‐compression wave, the seismic safety of hood structure must not overlook the factor. In this chapter, using finite difference method, several types of hood seismic dynamic characteristic were analyzed, and their seismic dynamic respond stress curves were drawn out. As a result, the recommended hood type was determined, which is helpful for hood design in high intensity earthquake zone

Dopamine D1 receptor-mediated NMDA receptor insertion depends on Fyn but not Src kinase pathway in prefrontal cortical neurons

<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Interactions between dopamine and glutamate in the prefrontal cortex are essential for cognitive functions such as working memory. Modulation of N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMDA) receptor functions by dopamine D1 receptor is believed to play a critical role in these functions. The aim of the work reported here is to explore the signaling pathway underlying D1 receptor-mediated trafficking of NMDA receptors in cultured rat prefrontal cortical neurons.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Activation of D1 receptor by selective agonist SKF-81297 significantly increased the expression of NR2B subunits. This effect was completely blocked by small interfering RNA knockdown of Fyn, but not Src. Under control conditions, neither Fyn nor Src knockdown exhibited significant effect on basal NR2B expression. D1 stimulation significantly enhanced NR2B insertion into plasma membrane in cultured PFC neurons, a process obstructed by Fyn, but not Src, knockdown.</p> <p>Conclusions</p> <p>Dopamine D1 receptor-mediated increase of NMDA receptors is thus Fyn kinase dependent. Targeting this signaling pathway may be useful in treating drug addiction and schizophrenia.</p

Threshold quantum cryptograph based on Grover's algorithm

Grover's operator in the two-qubit case can transform a basis into its conjugated basis. A permutation operator can transform a state in the two conjugated bases into its orthogonal state. These properties are included in a threshold quantum protocol. The proposed threshold quantum protocol is secure based the proof that the legitimate participators can only eavesdrop 2 bits of 3 bits operation information on one two-qubit with error probability 3/8. We propose a scheme to detect the Trojan horse attack without destroying the legal qubit.Comment: 7 pages, 1 figure

Capillary Hemangioma of the Middle Ear and External Auditory Canal: a Case Report

    Get PDF
AbstractWe report a case of capillary hemangiomsa that involved the entire middle ear space, external auditory canal(EAC) and tympanic antrum. Symptoms in the case included ear fullness, hearing loss, otalgia and otorrhea. The case was misdiagnosed as recurrent chronic otitis media with granulation preoperatively. A diagnosis of capillary hemangioma was established by postoperative histological examination. The management of capillary hemangioma of the middle ear and external auditory canal is discussed, with a review of the literature. Because of its variable and sometimes misleading clinical presentation, hemangioma can initially be misdiagnosed as other lesions. Therefore, a high index of suspicion is necessary for early and accurate diagnosis
