Entanglement dynamics of photon pairs emitted from quantum dot
We present a model to derive the state of the photon pairs generated by the
biexciton cascade decay of a self-assembled quantum dot, which agrees well with
the experimental result. Furthermore we calculate the concurrence and
entanglement sudden death is found in this system with temperature increasing,
which prevents quantum dot emits entangled photon pairs at a high temperature.
The relationship between the fine structure splitting and the sudden death
temperature is provided too
Creation of an Early Warning Platform for Risks to the Quality and Safety of Stored Grain
Based on the fast detection of mycotoxins and heavy metals in grain by each storage enterprise of Beijing reserve grain, the real-time migration of monitoring data is realized by adopting the B/S architecture, terminal WEB browser, and using the wireless transmission function of the rapid detection equipment to collect and transmit the data through the encryption algorithm; by using P2MP point-to-multipoint network communication, the data collected by multiple devices online/offline are uploaded through the file uploading system and the relational database extraction tool to achieve synchronous integration of data from multiple sources; by using relational database MySQL, column storage database HBase and distributed file system HDFS, distributed full-text search ElasticSearch and distributed memory database Redis to achieve cloud storage; by using Storm for real-time computation, Streaming for streaming operation, Spark for memory computing, and MapReduce for batch computing to achieve rapid processing of monitoring data; by using artificial intelligence technology and MLlib/Mahout for data mining and modelling to form a spatial and temporal sequence model of Beijing's grain producing areas and credit evaluation model of grain purchasing and marketing enterprises, so as to achieve the dynamic early warning of grain quality and safety and visual expression of the data, and provide early warning judgments to facilitate real-time control by government departments and real-time response to the situation. It promotes real-time control, real-time response and traceability management of grain quality and safety by management departments, enhances healthy competition and the establishment of an integrity system in grain circulation and storage, and provides a scientific basis for government decision-making
4-Methylbenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone
The title compound, C9H11N3S, was prepared by reacting 4-methylbenzaldehyde with thiosemicarbazide. An intramolecular N—H⋯N hydrogen bond helps to establish the observed molecular conformation. The crystal packing is realized by intermolecular N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds
Phase Compensation Enhancement of Photon Pair Entanglement Generated from Biexciton Decays in Quantum Dots
Exciton fine-structure splittings within quantum dots introduce phase
differences between the two biexciton decay paths that greatly reduce the
entanglement of photon pairs generated via biexciton recombination. We analyze
this problem in the frequency domain and propose a practicable method to
compensate the phase difference by inserting a spatial light modulator, which
substantially improves the entanglement of the photon pairs without any loss.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
Adaptive and Robust Methods of Reconstruction (ARMOR) for Thermoacoustic Tomography
In this paper, we present new adaptive and robust methods of reconstruction (ARMOR) for thermoacoustic tomography (TAT), and study their performances for breast cancer detection. TAT is an emerging medical imaging technique that combines the merits of high contrast due to electromagnetic or laser stimulation and high resolution offered by thermal acoustic imaging. The current image reconstruction methods used for TAT, such as the delay-and-sum (DAS) approach, are data-independent and suffer from low-resolution, high sidelobe levels, and poor interference rejection capabilities. The data-adaptive ARMOR can have much better resolution and much better interference rejection capabilities than their data-independent counterparts. By allowing certain uncertainties, ARMOR can be used to mitigate the amplitude and phase distortion problems encountered in TAT. The excellent performance of ARMOR is demonstrated using both simulated and experimentally measured data
Cloning and functional analysis in transgenic tobacco of a tapetum-specific promoter from Arabidopsis
The 5’-flanking region of 1174 bp upstream of the translation start point (TSP) of a reported Arabidopsis anther-specific gene, Anther7 gene (ATA7), which putatively encodes a protein related to lipid transfer protein, was cloned and functionally analyzed in transgenic tobacco after been fused with β- glucuronidase (GUS) gene reporter. Histochemical GUS staining of the transgenic plants showed that the cloned fragment did drive GUS expression exclusively in the anther, not in any other parts of floral organs, including pollens and nor in any vegetative tissue. Transverse section of the GUS-blue anthers disclosed that the blue cells were present uniquely in the tapetum of the anther. A series of 5’-deletion of cloned fragment indicated that a short segment of 179 bp upstream of the TSP (-155 bp upstream of the transcription start site) retained not only the promoter’s driving power, but also its tapetum-specificity. Cis-acting element search in this short segment revealed the presence of numbers of organ- and tissuespecific motifs, including pollen-specific LAT52 and SLG13. These results indicated that the tapetumspecificity of ATA7 gene is mainly conferred by its promoter, and such a promoter, in particular, the core one should be useful both for identification of tapetum-involved genes and for biotechnological applications.Key words: Arabidopsis, Anther7 gene of Arabidopsis theliana (ATA7), anther-specific promoter, tapetumspecific promoter
