The Community Project: Creating community and promoting social integration between refugees and host community through physical activities and sport

Refugees are not refugees of their own free will, as they have been forced to flee their homes to save their lives or freedom. When they arrive in a host community, they find many difficulties integrating because they do not know the culture or language, they lack family or friends and they often suffer from discrimination and xenophobia. This makes them highly vulnerable and can put them at risk or in a situation of social exclusion

Pedagogías de refugio: aprendizajes con estudiantes refugiados universitarios. Resultados de los programas en 2 Universidades: UFRGS y UB

Presentamos el caso de dos Universidades que han incorporado programas similares, circunscritos en el ODS 4: Garantizar una educación inclusiva, equitativa y de calidad y promover oportunidades de aprendizaje para todos. Una es la Universidad de Barcelona, coordinado por la Fundación Solidaridad UB y, la otra, la Universidad Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, ubicada en la ciudad de Porto Alegre (Brasil), para conocer los significados producidos por los estudiantes refugiados de su experiencia
