Monomial Relization of Crystal Bases for Special Linear Lie Algebras
We give a new realization of crystal bases for finite dimensional irreducible
modules over special linear Lie algebras using the monomials introduced by H.
Nakajima. We also discuss the connection between this monomial realization and
the tableau realization given by Kashiwara and Nakashima.Comment: 15 page
Young Wall Realization of Crystal Bases for Classical Lie Algebras
In this paper, we give a new realization of crystal bases for finite
dimensional irreducible modules over classical Lie algebras. The basis vectors
are parameterized by certain Young walls lying between highest weight and
lowest weight vectors.Comment: 27page
Double resonance of Raman transitions in a degenerate Fermi gas
We measure momentum-resolved Raman spectra of a spin-polarized degenerate
Fermi gas of Yb atoms for a wide range of magnetic fields, where the
atoms are irradiated by a pair of counterpropagating Raman laser beams as in
the conventional spin-orbit coupling scheme. Double resonance of first- and
second-order Raman transitions occurs at a certain magnetic field and the
spectrum exhibits a doublet splitting for high laser intensities. The measured
spectral splitting is quantitatively accounted for by the Autler-Townes effect.
We show that our measurement results are consistent with the spinful band
structure of a Fermi gas in the spatially oscillating effective magnetic field
generated by the Raman laser fields.Comment: 7 pages, 6 figure
FEASIBILITY OF BREWING MAKGEOLLI (TURBID RICE WINE) USING PARTIALLY GELATINIZED WHEAT FLOUR AND TAPIOCA FLOUR
Makgeolli is made from cooked rice or wheat, then brewed with nuruk (Korean fermentation starter) for several days. But, nowadays, attempts have been made to use various raw materials and process innovations to make makgeolli for particular purposes. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of makgeolly made from partially gelatinized wheat flour and tapioca flour. Five different combination of wheat flour and tapioca flour were used to manufacture makgeolli. The results showed that different combination of partially gelatinized wheat flour and tapioca flour significantly affected the chemical and sensorial characteristics of makgeolli. Increasing proportion of wheat flour produced higher level of total acid, amino acidity, reducing sugar and total solid of makgeolli. Inversely, alcohol content was higher when higher level of tapioca flour was used. In general, sensorial characteristics of makgeolli made from partially gelatinized wheat flour and tapioca flour didn’t acceptable by panelists. Thus, brewing makgeolli by using partially gelatinized wheat flour and tapioca flour isn’t acceptable in term of sensorial characteristics
Three-dimensional flow phenomena in a wire-wrapped 37-pin fuel bundle for SFR
AbstractThree-dimensional flow phenomena in a wire-wrapped 37-pin fuel assembly mock-up of a Japanese loop-type sodium-cooled fast reactor, Monju, were investigated with a numerical analysis using a general-purpose commercial computational fluid dynamics code, CFX. Complicated and vortical flow phenomena in the wire-wrapped 37-pin fuel assembly were captured by a Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes flow simulation using a shear stress transport turbulence model. The main purpose of the current study is to understand the three-dimensional complex flow phenomena in a wire-wrapped fuel assembly to support the license issue for the core design. Computational fluid dynamics results show good agreement with friction factor correlation models. The secondary flow in the corner and edge subchannels is much stronger than that in an interior subchannel. The axial velocity averaged in the corner and edge subchannels is higher than that averaged in the interior subchannels. Three-dimensional multiscale vortex structures start to be formed by an interaction between secondary flows around each wire-wrapped pin. Behavior of the large-scale vortex structures in the corner and edge subchannels is closely related to the relative position between the hexagonal duct wall and the helically wrapped wire spacer. The small-scale vortex is axially developed in the interior subchannels. Furthermore, a driving force on each wire spacer surface is closely related to the relative position between the hexagonal duct wall and the wire spacer
