Dual Properties of the Structure Functions

By using the concept of duality between direct channel resonances and Regge exchanges we relate the small- and large-xx behavior of the structure functions. We show that even a single resonance exhibits Bjorken scaling at large Q2Q^2.Comment: 4 pages talk given at XXXI International Symposium on Multiparticle Dynamics, Sep. 1-7, 2001, Datong China URL http://ismd31.ccnu.edu.cn

Reggeization of the Phillips-Barger model of high-energy hadron scattering

The Phillips-Barger model, successful in describing elastic hadron scattering, is generalized to include explicitly energy dependence `a la Regge

Approximate solution of the BFKL equation applicable at HERA

    Get PDF
We suggest a formula interpolating between the known asymptotic regimes of the BFKL equation as the approximate solution of that equation. The parameters appearing in this interpolation are fitted to the data on deep inelastic scattering in a wide range of the kinematical variables. Care is taken of the large-xx domain as well, outside the HERA kinematical region. The boundaries and the interface between various dynamical regimes are also studied.Comment: 10 pages (LaTeX) + 6 figures (eps

Resonance production in Pomeron-Pomeron collisions at the LHC

A model for Pomeron-Pomeron total cross section in the resonance region M2≤\sqrt{M^{2}} \le 5 GeV is presented. This model is based on Regge poles from the Pomeron and two different ff trajectories, and includes the isolated f0(500)_{0}(500) resonance in the region M2≲1\sqrt{M^{2}}\lesssim 1 GeV. A slowly varying background is included. The presented Pomeron-Pomeron cross section is not directly measurable, but is an essential ingredient for calculating exclusive resonance production at the LHC.Comment: Proceedings XXIV Int. Two-Parametric Quantum-Deformed Dual Amplitude

From a 2-parametric deformation of the harmonic oscillator algebra we construct a 4-point dual amplitude with nonlinear trajectories. The earlier versions of the q-deformed dual models are reproduced as limiting cases of the present model.Comment: 10 p. (LaTex), ITP-94-29E (misprints are corrected
