Haroun Jamous, The Young Girls with Scarves The autonomy of the socio-cultural field in relation to that of the political leads to a discussion of the direct links between the injunctions of political and religious authority relative to the wearing of head scarves and changes in the behavior of Muslim women. Analysis of the situation in France suggests that, given the social and cultural changes occurring among Muslim women, the controversy has served to transpose difficult personal changes onto a focus upon real or symbolic forms of domination.Jamous Haroun. Eléments pour une théorie sociologique des décisions politiques

Haroun Jamous : Grundsätze zu einer soziologischen Theorie der politischen Entscheidungen. Der Verfasser setzt sich zum Ziel, einen Analysenrahmen zu gründen der erlaubt, konkrete Forschungen zu lenken und den Weg zu einer soziologischen Theorie politischer Entscheidungen zu bahnen. Die wichtigsten dieser Vorschläge sollten es ermöglichen, Auftritt, Form und Inhalt einer Entscheidung vorherzusehen, und zwar je nach dem Wert, der 4 Hauptvariabeln (oder « sozial-historischen Bedingungen ») zukommt. Diese Variabeln sind : Zustand eines Sozialsystems, Ersatzlosung, Natur der dieser Entscheidung unterliegenden Forderung, Beschaffenheit der politischen Macht. Der grösste Teil des Artikels untersucht die Beziehungen zwischen diesen Variabeln und der Art von Entscheidung welche je nach diesen Beziehungen zustandekommen konnte.Г. Автор статьи устанавливает ориентировачные рамки конкретных исcледований, направленных на создание социологической теории политических решений. В основном формулированные им предложения имеют целью позволить предвидеть принятие того или иного политического решения, его форму и его содержание, исходя из « ценностей », относящихся к четырем основным группам переменных величин или « социо-исторических условий»: положение социальной системы; альтернативное решение; тип условий, которым оно удовлетворяет; положение политической власти. Большая часть статьи посвящена анализу соотношений между этими четырьмя переменными и типа решений, которые эти соотношения могут вызвать к жизни.Haroun Jamous : Elements for a sociological theory of political decisions. In this article, the author tries to set the basis of an analytical framework to guide practical research and lead the way to a sociological theory of political decisions. The essential propositions would make possible to forteli the starting point of a decision, its form and its content, on the basis of the values taken by four main variables or « socio-historical conditions » : the state of a social system, the alternative, the type of exigency on which it is founded, the state of political power. Haroun Jamous : Verbindung zum Stimulus, Niveau der Einbeziehung und Prozess der experimentellen Beeinflussung. Zwei entgegengesetzte erläuternde Thesen versuchen das Phänomen der experimentellen Beeinflussung zu interpretieren. Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht, die beiden Tendenzen mit Hilfe eines neuen Merkmals, nämlich der Beziehung zwischen Gegenstand und Stimulus, einander anzunähern. Dieser Beziehung entspricht übrigens ein Einbeziehungsniveau der Gegenstände, das zur Definition der experimentellen Lage wichtig erscheint.Харун Жамус : Связь между стимулом, уровнем применения и процессом экспериментального влияния. Два объяснительных тезиса противопоставляются в интерпретации феноменов экспериментального влияния. Данный труд пытается сблизить оба теченья, вводя непостоянную связь «субъекта стимула». There are two ways of interpreting the phenomenon of experimental influence. In this article the author relates the two by introducing a variable : the subject-stimulus link. Participation politique et conflits culturels au Congo

Haroun Jamous : Politische Teilnahme und kulturelle Konflikte im Kongo. In diesem Artikel werden einige Ergebnisse einer in Kinshasa (früher Leopoldville) durchgeführten Untersuchung analysiert, die darauf zielte, einerseits die mit der Idee der Unabhängigkeit verbundenen Wahrnehmungen und Vorstellungen der Gegenwart und der Zukunft zu isolieren, andererseits deren wichtigste Bestimmungsmomente zu prazisieren. Mittels Guttmannschen Techniken versucht der Verfasser die politische Teilnahme als abhängige Variable auszumessen. Die Bearbeitung der Antworten erlaubt zwei Dimensionen der politischen Teilnahme hervorzuheben aus deren Kombinationsmöglichkeiten vier Typen, d.h. vier Reaktionarten im historischen Augenblick der Vorunabhängigkeit ans Licht kommen. So wird eine Typologie der « kulturellen Konflikte » vorgeschlagen, wobei diese Konflikte als unabhangige Variable, bzw. als wichtigstes Bestimmungsmoment jener verschiedenen politischen Tatigkeiten, betrachtet werden. Zum Schluss zeigt der Verfasser, wie man sein Auslegungsthema nutzlich zur Erläuterung verschiedener späteren Ereignisse im Kongo und Prazisierung der Probleme der kongolischen Einheit anwenden könnte.Гарун Жамус: Политическое участие и конфликты, относящиеся к культуре Конго. Статья дает анализ некоторым результатам одной анкеты, проведенной в Кинсаза (быв. Леопольдвиль) три месяца до независимости. Цель этой анкеты — выделить восприятия и представление о настоящей и будущей жизни, связанные с независимостью; с другой стороны, анкета старается уточнить главные определительные данные. Изученная настоящая независимость — это «политическая партиципация», которую автор пробует измерять приемами гутманского типа. Обращение с этими вопросами дает возможность выяснить два размера политического участия, которые вместе взятые наводят на вопрос о «четырех типах», о четырех способах политического действия в исторический момент до независимости. Многочисленные и всевозможные анализы приводят к мысли о типологии «конфликтов культуры» в качестве изменчивой независимости или главного определителя этих разнообразных политических деятельностей. В заключение, автор останавливается на том, как объяснительная схема могла бы быть продуктивной, дать отчет о самых последних делах и лучше окружить проблемы, вызванные последованием единства Конго.Haroun Jamous : Political participation and cultural conflicts in the Congo. The article analyses some results of an inquiry made in Kinshasa (ex-Leopoldville) three months before the independance. Its purpose was on the one hand, to reveal the perception and representation of the present and future in connection with the idea of independance, on the other hand, to define its chief determining factors. The dependant variable examined is 'political participation' which the author tries to measure by Guttmanian type techniques. The treatment of the answers reveals two dimensions of political participation, which combined, suggest four types of political reaction to the historical moment represented by pre-independance. Multivaried analysis suggests a typology of 'cultural conflicts' as independant variable or principal determinant of these different political activities. To conclude, the author shows how the explanatory schematisation could help to explain more recent facts and to grasp better the problems of the search for Congolese unity.Haroun Jamous : Participación política y conflictos culturales en Congo. El artículo analiza algunos resultados de una investigación que se hizo en Kinshasa (antes Leopoldville) tres meses antes de la independencia y que trataba, рог una parte, de destacar las percepciones y las representaciones del presente y del futuro ligadas a la idea de independencia; por otre parte, trataba de precisar los principales determinantes. La variable dependiente examinada es la « participación política » que el autor procura medir con técnicas de tipo guttmaniano. El tratamiento de las contestaciones permite desprender dos dimensiones de la participación política, las cuales, una vez combinadas, sugieren cuatro tipos, cuatros modos de reaccionar politicamente en el momento histórico de la preindependencia. Análisis multivariados llevan a proponer una tipologia de los « conflictos » culturales como variable independiente о principal determinante de esas actividades politicas. Para concluir, el autor enseña como el esquema explicativo propuesto podría ser fecundo para referir hechos mas recientes y cernir mejor los problemas que levanta la busca de la unidad de Congo.Jamous Haroun. De l'intégration aux "patries imaginaires"

Integration of immigrants or ethnic minorities can inaugurate new identity searches and constructions, reactualizing scenes invested with imaginary elaborations. This article put forward an analysis of this reactualizing process, and some of its specifications according to whether it concerns populations linked to a colonial history (France, Great-Britain) or longstanding established in a pluri-cultural nation (United-States). It is suggested that this inventive and imaginary stage aims at redefining and reappropriating the formally achieved integration process.RÉSUMÉ: L’intégration dans la société d’accueil, but à atteindre de certaines populations immigrées ou minoritaires, peut se révéler point de départ de nouvelles quêtes et constructions identitaires réactualisant des temps et des lieux investis d’élaborations imaginaires. Le présent article propose une analyse et une interprétation de ce processus de réactualisation, de certaines de ses formes et expressions selon qu’il s’agit de groupements reliés à un passé colonial (France, Grande-Bretagne) ou insérés, de longue date, dans une nation pluriculturelle (États-Unis). En prolongeant un processus d’intégration formellement achevé, cette étape, avec sa part d’invention imaginative, aurait pour fonction de permettre sa redéfinition et sa réappropriation.Jamous Haroun.
