Aggressive angiomyxoma of broad ligament: an uncommon mesenchymal tumor

    Get PDF
Aggressive angiomyxoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor occurring predominantly in the pelviperineal region. Authors present a case of a 70 years female presented with history of distention of lower abdomen with recurrent pain since 6 months. On clinical examination there was suspicion of fibroid. On USG it was reported as huge fleshy, soft tissue mass measuring 20x10x9 cm in lower abdominal flanks and pelvis with vascular pedicle attached to right parametrium. Pan-hysterectomy was performed. Right broad ligament showed mass measuring 18.5x10x6 cm. On histopathological examination it was diagnosed as a case of Aggressive angiomyxoma of broad ligament. We are presenting this case for its extreme rarity, clinicohisto-pathological and radiological findings

The lipomatous tumors are very rare benign neoplasms of the uterus. Lipoleiomyoma is a benign tumor which is variant of leiomyoma. It has similar clinical course and presentation like uterine leiomyoma and is typically found in postmenopausal women. Authors report a case of 45 years female presented with a complaint of increased frequency of menstrual cycles and generalized weakness since 5- 6 months. On ultrasonography abdomen - pelvis a single large lobulated hyperechoic mass was noted in the fundal myometrium measuring 5 x 4.6 cm. The finding was suggestive of fibroid uterus. On histopathological examination showed variable proportions of lobules of mature adipocytes and interlacing bundles of benign smooth muscle cells which was diagnostic of lipoleiomyoma. Authors are presenting this case for its rarity, clinical presentation, imaging and histopathological finding with differential diagnosis

Background: Teratomas are belonging to a group of germ cell tumors. It is also referred to as dermoid cyst. Teratomas are most common germ cell tumor of the ovary. Teratomas are composed of various histological types. In this article we are presenting various morphological patterns, its clinical manifestation and its clinical significance. Methods: This is prospective study for a period of 3 years from March 2016 to February 2019 at tertiary care hospital. It consists of total evaluation of 82 cases of ovarian lesions which were surgically excised for clinically or radiologically suspected of ovarian neoplasm. Results: A total of 82 cases of ovarian specimen were included out of which 18 cases were of ovarian teratoma. In these 17 cases were benign teratomas, 1 case of immature teratoma. All the cases of mature teratoma were predominantly of cystic type with focal solid areas. Right sided ovary was involved in44.5% cases while left sided in 55.5% cases. The tumor size ranges from 2.5 cm to 20.8 cms. The age range in this study was from 20 to 60 year. The common age observed for ovarian teratoma was in group of 31-40 years, having 6 cases. The clinically most of cases were asymptomatic or presented with unexplained abdominal pain or palpable mass. USG finding in most of cases were diffuse or partial echogenic mass lesion with cystic nature and echogenic bands. Conclusions: In our study showed mature cystic teratoma is the most common type of ovarian teratomas. The immature and monodermal types are rare. The histopathological examination plays important role in final diagnosis   and patient management

Improvise P2P File Sharing for Routing Efficiency

ABSTRACT: Now a day's mobile computing is becoming more and more popular. The efficiency of file querying suffers from the properties of networks which include node mobility and limited communication range and resource. File sharing is one of the aspects which include peer to peer file sharing over MANET. Main advantages of P2P file sharing are files can be shared without base stations, overload on server can be avoided and it can exploit the otherwise wasted peer communication opportunities among mobile nodes. File replication which plays important role in enhancing file availability and reduce file querying delay. By creating replicas the probability of encountered requests can be improved. Random Way Point used for the normal MANET and Community-Based Mobility Model used for Disconnected MANETs. In RWP, nodes are moving with random speed to the randomly selected points, so the probability of meeting each node is similar for all the nodes Community-based mobility model used in some content dissemination or routing algorithms for disconnected MANETs. So both models contain idea of resource for file replication, which considers both node storage and meeting frequency

Primary Renal Leiomyosarcoma: Case Report and Review of the Literature

Renal leiomyosarcoma is an extremely rare malignant tumor. On clinical presentation and radio imaging it is challenging to make an accurate preoperative diagnosis. In our case, a 59-year-old female presented with history of left-sided flank pain, intermittent hematuria and weight loss of 6 months duration. She was known case of hypertension and diabetes mellitus of 20 years and on regular treatment. On the abdomino-pelvis sonography showed an exophytic cortical mass lesion measuring 4.0 x 3.8 cm lesion. Magnetic resonance imaging abdomen and pelvis (plain) shows a well defined non encapsulated exophytic predominantly solid mass lesion measuring 4.3 x 4 x 4.5 cm is noted in the anterior cortex of left kidney at interpolar region. There was no evidence of any regionalor distant metastesis. Patient underwent left radical nephrectomy. On histopathology reported as renal leiomyosarcoma. Immuhistochemistry showed smooth muscle actin diffusely and desmin focally positive. We present this review of rare case of primary renal leiomyosarcoma for its clinical presentation, radiographic findings, and pathologic features

Agriculture is most important sector of the Indianeconomy. It is most important source of employment for the majority of the work force in the country. Rice is primary and major crop cultivated in India. About 70%of Indians are dependent on agriculture for their livelihood. As the large work force is engaged in this sector, Traditional method is costly, time consuming and labour intensive work. These problems can be solved with the help of riceplanting machine. This study is focused on design analysis of a manually operated rice transplanter for small scale Indian rice cultivators. By achieving the goals like simplifying the mechanism, reduce cost and reduced weight of present rice transplanter. The availability and use of manual rice transplanter in Western Maharashtra is very rare, so design of this project is useful to farmers. This machine can bring revolution in rice production
