Speleoseismites from caves in the lower third of the Jaruco River, in western Cuba allows the identification of ancient earthquakes that took place until 10000 years BP. An important group of these events recognized in the fractured speleothems where contemporaneous with the settlement period of the native Cuban aborigins. Subfossils of Pleistocene vertebrate terrestrial fauna are also associated, as revealed by their joint patterns, with paleoearthquakes. This note summarizes a first approach to the relative chronology of these events
