Gold Standard Online Debates Summaries and First Experiments Towards Automatic Summarization of Online Debate Data
Usage of online textual media is steadily increasing. Daily, more and more
news stories, blog posts and scientific articles are added to the online
volumes. These are all freely accessible and have been employed extensively in
multiple research areas, e.g. automatic text summarization, information
retrieval, information extraction, etc. Meanwhile, online debate forums have
recently become popular, but have remained largely unexplored. For this reason,
there are no sufficient resources of annotated debate data available for
conducting research in this genre. In this paper, we collected and annotated
debate data for an automatic summarization task. Similar to extractive gold
standard summary generation our data contains sentences worthy to include into
a summary. Five human annotators performed this task. Inter-annotator
agreement, based on semantic similarity, is 36% for Cohen's kappa and 48% for
Krippendorff's alpha. Moreover, we also implement an extractive summarization
system for online debates and discuss prominent features for the task of

The Presidency and the Executive Branch in Latin America: What We Know and What We Need to Know
The presidential politics literature depicts presidents either as all- powerful actors or figureheads and seeks to explain outcomes accordingly. Th e president and the executive branch are nonetheless usually treated as black boxes, particularly i n developing countries, even though the presidency has evolved into an extremely complex branch of government. While these developments have been studied in the U nited States, far less i s known in other countries, particularly in Latin America, where presi dential systems have been considered the source of all goods and evils. To help close the knowledge gap and explore differences in policymaking characteristics not only between Latin America and the US but also across Latin American countries, this paper s ummarizes the vast literature on the organization and resources of the Executive Branch in the Americas and sets a research agenda for the study of Latin American presidencies.Fil: Bonvecchi, Alejandro. Rational Zika vaccine design via the modulation of antigen membrane anchors in chimpanzee adenoviral vectors.
Zika virus (ZIKV) emerged on a global scale and no licensed vaccine ensures long-lasting anti-ZIKV immunity. Here we report the design and comparative evaluation of four replication-deficient chimpanzee adenoviral (ChAdOx1) ZIKV vaccine candidates comprising the addition or deletion of precursor membrane (prM) and envelope, with or without its transmembrane domain (TM). A single, non-adjuvanted vaccination of ChAdOx1 ZIKV vaccines elicits suitable levels of protective responses in mice challenged with ZIKV. ChAdOx1 prME ∆TM encoding prM and envelope without TM provides 100% protection, as well as long-lasting anti-envelope immune responses and no evidence of in vitro antibody-dependent enhancement to dengue virus. Deletion of prM and addition of TM reduces protective efficacy and yields lower anti-envelope responses. Our finding that immunity against ZIKV can be enhanced by modulating antigen membrane anchoring highlights important parameters in the design of viral vectored ZIKV vaccines to support further clinical assessments
