Integrated structure vacuum tube
High efficiency, multi-dimensional thin film vacuum tubes suitable for use in high temperature, high radiation environments are described. The tubes are fabricated by placing thin film electrode members in selected arrays on facing interior wall surfaces of an alumina substrate envelope. Cathode members are formed using thin films of triple carbonate. The photoresist used in photolithography aids in activation of the cathodes by carbonizing and reacting with the reduced carbonates when heated in vacuum during forming. The finely powdered triple carbonate is mixed with the photoresist used to delineate the cathode locations in the conventional solid state photolithographic manner. Anode and grid members are formed using thin films of refractory metal. Electron flow in the tubes is between grid elements from cathode to anode as in a conventional three-dimensional tube
Integrated structure vacuum tube: A Concept
Cathode emission is made to occur by heating entire structure to 600 C, and positive potential is applied to anode with negative potential on grids. Electron flow takes place from ring to circular anode through electric field produced by grids
Active rc filter permits easy trade-off of amplifier gain and sensitivity to gain
Passive RC network was designed with zeros of transmission in the right half of the complex frequency plane in the feedback loop of a simple negative-gain amplifier. The proper positioning provides any desired trade-off between amplifier gain and sensitivity to amplifier gain
Transducer circuit and catheter transducer Patent
Transducer circuit design with single coaxial cable for input and output connections including incorporation into miniaturized catheter transduce
Constant-amplitude RC oscillator
Sinusoidal oscillator has a frequency determined by resistance-capacitance /RC/ values of two charge control devices and a constant-amplitude voltage independent of frequency and RC values. RC elements provide either voltage-control, resistance-control, or capacitance-control of the frequency
Active rc networks of low sensitivity for integrated circuit transfer function
Active RC network is capable of extremely high Q performance with exceptional stability and has independently adjustable zeros and poles. The circuit consists of two integrators and two summers that are interconnected to produce a complete second-order numerator and a second-order denominator
