Professionalism, prejudice and personal taste: does it matter what we wear?
An earlier opinion piece considered the professional issues surrounding the occupational therapist’s dress code within the work place (Davys et al, 2006). This second paper considers the role of the occupational therapist when a client choice of clothing may conflict with social expectations and negatively impact upon social inclusion. Three practice based scenarios are presented, which serve as the prompts for reflection upon informed choice, professional responsibilities and the therapeutic relationship. This paper concludes that there needs to be debate about the conflict between each of these areas and the concept of social inclusion
Quantising Higher-spin String Theories
In this paper, we examine the conditions under which a higher-spin string
theory can be quantised. The quantisability is crucially dependent on the way
in which the matter currents are realised at the classical level. In
particular, we construct classical realisations for the algebra,
which is generated by a primary spin- current in addition to the
energy-momentum tensor, and discuss the quantisation for . From these
examples we see that quantum BRST operators can exist even when there is no
quantum generalisation of the classical algebra. Moreover, we find
that there can be several inequivalent ways of quantising a given classical
theory, leading to different BRST operators with inequivalent cohomologies. We
discuss their relation to certain minimal models. We also consider the
hierarchical embeddings of string theories proposed recently by Berkovits and
Vafa, and show how the already-known strings provide examples of this
phenomenon. Attempts to find higher-spin fermionic generalisations lead us to
examine the whether classical BRST operators for ( odd)
algebras can exist. We find that even though such fermionic algebras close up
to null fields, one cannot build nilpotent BRST operators, at least of the

Search for positively charged strangelets and other related results with E864 at the AGS
We report on the latest results in the search for positively charged
strangelets from E864's 96/97 run at the AGS with sensitivity of about per central collision. This contribution also contains new results of
a search for highly charged strangelets with . Production of light
nuclei, such as and , is presented as well. Measurements of yields
of these rarely produced isotopes near midrapidity will help constrain the
production levels of strangelets via coalescence. E864 also measures antiproton
production which includes decays from antihyperons. Comparisons with antiproton
yields measured by E878 as a function of centrality indicate a large

A bioenergetics model was developed from observed consumption, respiration and growth rates for zebrafish Danio rerio across a range (18–32° C) of water temperatures, and evaluated with a 50 day laboratory trial at 28° C. EXERCISE AND BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION

J Strength Cond Res 27(10): 2914– 2926, 2013—A growing body of research has demonstrated the effectiveness of exercise (low-intensity resistance training, walking, cycling) combined with blood flow restriction (BFR) for increased muscular strength and hypertrophy. The BFR is achieved via the application of external pressure over the proximal portion of the upper or lower extremities. The external pressure applied is sufficient to maintain arterial inflow while occluding venous outflow of blood distal to the occlusion site. With specific reference to low-intensity resistance training, the ability to significantly increase muscle strength and hypertrophy when combined with BFR is different from the traditional paradigm, which suggests that lifting only higher intensity loads increases such characteristics. The purpose of this review was to discuss the relevant literature with regard to the type and magnitude of acute responses and chronic adaptations associated with BFR exercise protocols vs. traditional non-BFR exercise protocols. Furthermore, the mechanisms that stimulate such responses and adaptations will be discussed in the context of neural, endocrine, and metabolic pathways. Finally, recommendations will be discussed for the practitioner in the prescription of exercise with BFR
